What was the first Alice Song
This has no doubt been done before, but what song inspired you to hang around with Alice? For me it was proably No More Love at your convience, listening to it in the car heading down south. Also my parents never liked Alice, i can vaguely remember when Alice was on the muppett show, as soon as they said Alice Cooper was appearing, they turned over to another channel. So Alice always gets his revenge in the end

Re: What was the first Alice Song
The song was Billion Dollar Babies, I heard it at my school's Christmas concert and it was like getting struck by a bolt of lightning. That drum intro and guitar riff sounded so effen cool to this 10 year old that I became hooked INSTANTLY. I badgered my sister to buy the album (I was too young to go an buy it myself)and really she loved it herself, so it wasn't a hard sell.

School's Out, original 1972 release.
Incidentally, I recently went to work in one of my Alice T-shirts (for a Wear-What-U-Like-Day) and my boss commented that when she was but a little girl she was into David Cassidy et alia and when her Jackie comic had a picture of Alice in it her father went ballistic and refused to allow her to put it up on her wall!
Great!!

1. Schools Out
2. Elected....but most significantly with Luney Tune on the B side. Big impact on me as a 12 year old kid.

...And personally, I don't care.

Re: What was the first Alice Song
My first Alice song was "Hello Hooray" which was a huge hit on the radio in Montreal back in 1973.
But here's a funny story: I was a very little girl when I started to listen to Top 40 Radio back in 1971. I have vague memories of hearing a song that I really liked which I thought was called "I'm Andy". Since I liked the song, I was curious and waited for the DJ to announce who was singing that song. The DJ said Alice Cooper and I was totally confused. I was extremely young and so I had no idea who Alice Cooper was. It was a woman's name so I could not understand how that was possible when it sounded like a man singing!! Totally confusing. A couple of years later, I discovered the song was actually called "I'm Eighteen"....and that I was right that the singer was a man. Yes....a man who wore mascara and had longer hair than Susan Dey.

Thanks to my older brother ..."Welcome to my Nightmare" way back in 1975 when I was 7 years old. The first album of my very own was next..."Goes to Hell"
I love a waitress who loves to...flirt!

School's Out on TOTP in the summer of 1972, completely blew me away, so exciting, I never fully recovered!!!! First record/single was Hello Hooray with Generation Landslide as b-side, that confirmed in my mind that I was listening the the most exciting band in the world!
