Wooooooooohooooooooooo
Second row Melbourne!
I see the man has added a second Melbourne show. Bummer, if I knew that I wouldn't have had to take a Friday night off!

Looks like you're sitting next to me cozzie.
Presales have definitely looked after us. I got front row in all 3 shows I booked.

Re: Alice to tour Oz??
Congrats to you all - I'm glad that you're pleased, and it bodes well for my own ac store purchase for Sheffield (hopefully).
I know someone who isn't happy with his allocation for Melbourne - I don't know where he's sat but I had an offline message saying he had been told his seats and a face next to it...
I'm really hoping that the fact that I bought just one seat will work in my favour...

I presume you mean "let down by Alice" and whilst I completely understand that you're hurt, angry (not to mention upset), in fairness to Alice there is absolutely no evidence (that I'm aware of) that the cancellation decision was even made in the AC camp - could even have been the venue that cancelled. Any road up I'm sure that Alice didn't cancel the show on purpose, just to irritate and upset people.
I'd like to stress that I'm not intending to "pooh pooh" your feelings - I'd be severely crushed as well.

Re: Alice to tour Oz??
ohhhhh sooooooo want, sooooooo expensive
whats the general consensus on these, are they worth it? I know a singer from a band i was in payed $700 (about the same i guess) to meet and great Budgie and i know who i would rather see! Mind you i think she was a little 'better off' than me if you know what i mean
Put a lotto on for Tuesday, heres hoping!
Re: Alice to tour Oz??
the second melbourne show is far from sold out...i just bought my vip package from ac.com and the ticketmaster pre-sale is still going. the general sale strats from tomorrow morning at all ticketmaster outlets, so the gig is fasr from sold out.alicestrash wrote:well i've been royally let down my alice and i'm completely and utterly shattered. dreadful seats for the melbourne show, gold coast show has been cancelled and i only just found out about the second melbourne show which looks like it's sold out.

if i was you, i'd try ac.com as their pre-sale has definitely looked after those who bought tickets to the aussie gigs.
does anyone know how the seating works for the ac.com pre-sales? i think i heard its in the first 12 rows or something, first in best dressed?

Not 100% sure, but I think that could sound about right. I know that when the Planet Rock presale (which was the second noteable presale for UK shows, closely followed by Live Nation's presale) started, I checked to see what tix were available for a particular seated venue and the best it was throwing out was about 14th row.
I think what's happening is that the acstore sale is first, then any tickets not sold on that progressively filter down into other presales, then finally into the general sale. Note I just *think* that's what's happening.
FWIW - it seems that the acstore presales were 'stopped' when other sales took over, so all that would be available now would be the VIP upgrades (that of course don't include a ticket). Though I've not looked at the site since I bought my tickets so not sure if that's the case for everywhere.

Re: Alice to tour Oz??
I think Sparky's senerio is close to what I'm seeing.
One thing I have noticed. If you aren`t getting anything decent through TM/Live Nation DO check the venues own sites, as linked on the news page. I noticed one show (think it was Glasgow) wasn`t bringing up ANY tickets for sale yesterday on TM, but if you went to the venue site they had the back of the first block available which is pretty good considering.

Re: Alice to tour Oz??
yep def didnt mean to imply it was alice's fault in the least.. i assume it was ticket sales that lead to the show being canceled. hopefully all goes well with the second melbourne show this morning = )

why should you miss out, there are still heaps of tickets for the second melbourne gig. ac.com might have sold out of their allocation (even thats debatable, i think they just stop their pre-sale when the general public sale starts) but ticketmaster are still selling tickets.
granted you might not get the seat you want, but you will definitely get a ticket.
Re: Alice to tour Oz??
No, it was logistical problems, and it was pulled by the promotor, not Alice or his management.alicestrash wrote:i assume it was ticket sales that lead to the show being canceled.

Re: Alice to tour Oz??
lol it couldn't have been a good thing in the first place when they listed gold coast as being in NSW, with the brisbane show not being anytime before or after it.
oh well.
oh well.
