Re: Alice to tour Oz??
i dont blame you for being nervous. i hate the way they dont tell you eactly what seat you are getting through those pre-sales. thats exactly why i wont buy through a pre-sale unless they specify exactly what i'm paying for.
good luck though, i reckon you'll be happy.

Likewise, I'm having a nervous breakdown just thinking about it!

My friend who bought the tix for Melbourne was told he'd know his seats "in three weeks".

Hi Guys,
I'm new here but the forum looks great. Did anyone notice what an absolute disgrace the ticketing system for the melbourne show was?!.. i didn't find out about the alice presale until it had ended which was bad luck, couldn't do the ticketmaster presale cause i didn't have a mastercard and come general sale i get row y after waiting for hours. i am 100% shattered.

Re: Alice to tour Oz??
the ticketing system was a complete disgrace, i agree. just got my "front row" tickets in the mail today, and they indeed are front row...on the upper level. great job ticketmaster. when i rang to blast them, they told me that they were the best tickets at the time and that all the tickets had been sold on the pre-sale.
however when i tried the ticketmaster pre-sale a week before the general tickets went on sale, the best i was getting after multiple tries was row GG which is miles back on the floor.
i've never had this much hassle getting a seat i'm happy with for a coop gig. the ticketing system this time around was a total mess, god knows how they worked it.
hopefuly you ac.com pre-sale guys are treated better.
i'm going to keep an eye out for better tickets in the meantime through other channels, and flog these ones off on ebay if and when i get them.

hbtw alicestrash, i've spoken with a few guys who waited for hours before the general sale and got stiffed with row y and z despite being first in line. looooots of disappointed people this time around.

Ouch. Sorry to hear that, Nick . I take it that TicketMaster weren't very clear in their advertising when you purchased?Nick wrote:the ticketing system was a complete disgrace, i agree. just got my "front row" tickets in the mail today, and they indeed are front row...on the upper level.

Thanks for all the welcomes = )
Nick that SUCKS. the same thing happened to me, i got my boyfriend's dad tickets and saw that they were row C, till i found out only afterwards that they were in the lounge. i haven't come across anyone going to the melbourne show who has decent tickets. if you find a decent spot let me know? i'm gonna ask around also.
grimfact - i'll be in the row behind you at the gold coast! it's so bizarre that i couldn't get a seat in melbourne, but at 9.30 i went on for the cold coast and managed row b. so happy.

Re: Alice to tour Oz??
Has anyone who bought their tickets from AC store for the Oz dates actually found out their seat numbers yet? A friend of mine who purchased on April 27th has yet to find out. He emailed the supplier who advised him that they are "stll finalising the seats"....

Re: Alice to tour Oz??
Someone over on NWAC has posted saying that the Gold Coast show has been cancelled and the theatre website confirms it:
http://www.gccec.com.au/what_concerts.aspx
(scroll to the bottom)
They don't appear to have published any reason as to why the show has been cancelled.

Re: Alice to tour Oz??
Still waiting for an announcement re-Auckland tickets. The venue holds less than 2,500 so I think it will be very hard to get a ticket
Re: Alice to tour Oz??
