Cooperstown

Post by Seriously » Tue Mar 03, 2009 8:01 pm

Well my friend is in Pheonix on holiday and is visiting Cooperstown tonight (Tuesday, 3 March). I told him about the restaurant and he got quite excited and is picking me up a whiskey shot glass. A bit too fat for me to go and can't justify it to the wife for burger.
Hope he enjoys it, luckey bugger. :blues:

Do you mean a bit too FAR for you to go?

Went there myself almost 10 years ago now. Came back with a baseball, a tankard and a some cool photos. Sadly the photos we took were not digital, it was a bygone age. Cool place though.

Some good photo there, cheers. I would love to go, but unless I get a lottery win can't see it happening. I'll wait till my friend gets back and enjoy what he has to say I'm sure, with a little bit of green eyes along the way from me.

I plan to go there... one day. A co-worker of mine went last year and picked me up a menu, pin, guitar pick and popcorn bag.

Great pics, Sparks!

Great pics Sparky!

My sister lives in Phoenix, so when hubby and I go on holiday, we always pay Cooperstown a couple of visits.

The stock in the shop always changes too - so you can always pick up something different on each visit! The food is EXCELLENT too!
IF YOU GET UP IN THE MORNING, ITS A GOOD DAY!

You know... that was one thing that I felt a little let down by. I know it's sports AND rock themed, but there was too much of the former for my own personal taste. Four HUGE TV screens across the top of the bar, each showing a different sports game. Would it really have hurt to have one of them playing some music vids, etc a la hard Rock Café?

Some nice Coop stuff in there, though of course! Didn't get to see upstairs as it was closed off, so not sure what there is up there?

The Appletinis are goooooood.

Well, they DO have some smaller TVs around the place playing music vids. At least one has Cooper vids running non-stop......or did the last 2 years. I have to admit, I didn't check this year, as I was usually with people while there.

I saw zero Alice vids playing the few times we stopped by - and believe me, I was looking!

I still think they should give over one of the big screens!

I completely disagree. ;) Three out of four screens dedicated to sport is MORE than enough!
