While we know he's great at all three, but what part of Alice attracts all of you and do you think has worked well for Alice the most? Is it the music? The theatrics? The shocking things?

Discuss.

Well, the theatrics and shocking things may attract your interest. And also your curiousity as to what it is all about, how he did the tricks etc. But in the end I think it's the music that matters the most. I listen to Alice mainly because of the music itself. Though I must say that the theatrics keep it very interesting.

I think all three options are all equally important but I had to go with music. At least for me anyway. I heard "Love It To Death" when I was about 4 and it scared the shit out of me but I was hooked by the sound of the band, thus my ears fell in love with Alice Cooper music.
All of the above is just my opinion.

Definately the shock factor for me.

Nothing is better than listening to a song and just busting out laughing because the lyics are so subtly sick. I can listen to a song 100 times then pick on the meaning of a lyric that I had missed before and bust out laughing.

Alice's stage antics with Cold Ethyl's likeness were actually pretty shocking as well as sickeningly funny. I love a good eeeeewwww!

I totally thought this poll was going to be about something else. ;)

Since pants wasn't an option, I voted for music.

Gotta be the music for me. When I first heard LITD, I didn`t realise what the live show was all about, but I have to say the theatrics are an intregal part of the whole Alice Cooper experience ( not connected to the Jimi Hendrix Experience I might add ), and I look forward to seeing him as much as hearing him.
In the past I have sometimes been a tad dissapointed with the stage show, but never with the musical content.

As for the shock factor, it never has been for me ,anything the band or Alice have done in the past has always been a publicity stunt IMO.

Well I chose the music. After all even the Coop says that people still would go and see him even if he didn't have theatrics but nobody would go if it was just the gouillotine and nothing else.

Heh. I chose Music. And since it seems the majority did, too, it looks like Alice could amp-up both the shock and theatrics.

has to be the music and the lyrics even if he has been a bit of a chameleon over the past 28 years. it still rocks.

Well I love the theatrics and it's kinda Alice trademark to have them since he was one of the first with it but they aren't a must for him to make a good show.

I've gone for music, as the stuff that the Alice Cooper Group put together was just outstanding. I rate Alice himself as one of the best lyirc writers of all time.

I must say it was the music that got me. The infamous SO/Gutter Cat single. The first glimpse I got of Alice, outside of album covers and magazines was the Muppet Show 3 or 4 years later and I was already a huge fan before I ever saw any old footage of the theatrics.
Whatever

The Music takes it for me. Although Alice is the best at all three so naturally I love all three options.

The mixture of the 3 is what makes Alice Cooper, but at the end of the day if the music is no good then the whole thing falls apart.
It's the music.

Alice has the perfect hard/heavy metal rock voice. I've heard so many vocalist immate it that I would have to say that this along with the theatrics, are his two great gifts to the rock world

I'd have to say Theatrics.....I mean anyone can sing an Alice song, but its the way he sings them that makes them soo good......Of course thats probably not what you ment by theatrics though LOL
