Where do you slot the bonus tracks in ACAS running order?
I was thinking about how I kinda dig the 2 new bonus tracks and since this is a concept album and they are part of the concept, it's kind of silly to keep them slotted at the end.
That got me thinking where I might slot them in the story... and this is what I came up with:
1. Prologue/I Know Where You Live
2. Vengeance Is Mine
3. Wake The Dead
4. Catch Me If You Can
5. (In Touch With) Your Feminine Side
6. Wrapped In Silk
7. Shadow Of Yourself
8. Killed By Love
9. I'm Hungry
10. The One That Got Away
11. Salvation
12. I'll Still Be There
13. I Am The Spider
"Shadow Of Yourself" likely could have gone a couple different places, but I felt given it's subject matter it made sense after "Wrapped In Silk"... as if he's done the dirty deed.
To me "I'll Still Be There" made sense after "Salvation" because it's as if Spider acknowledges he's not going to change and he'll always be there, before it leads into his proclaimation of "I Am The Spider".
Post your ideas...

I was wondering the same thing. I asked the question on Nights With Alice, but I can't listen, so I won't know the answer.
I like both the bonus tracks and I think they both should have been on the album because the offer a great deal of variety that is presently lacking.
It is hard to figure out where they should go. I'll Still Be There could go in two places in my opinion. Before Salvation, because Salvation is his reflecting after killing his love. It makes sense there - The One that Got Away ends with "Maybe some other time". I'll Still be there could represent that other time.
BUT!!! It could also go after Catch Me if You Can because he knows where she lives, but we take a three song detour that give us spider's methods, but don't move the story forward. In that spot it basically says "now that you know my backstory and methods, it's time for me to collect my final victim."
Shadow of Yourself I can't quite figure out. Based on the lyrics, he seems to be speaking to his victim after death. That means it would have to be just before Salvation as well.
It could go:
1. Prologue/I Know Where You Live
2. Vengeance Is Mine
3. Wake The Dead
4. Catch Me If You Can
5. (In Touch With) Your Feminine Side
6. Wrapped In Silk
7. Killed By Love
8. I'm Hungry
9. The One That Got Away
10. I'll Still Be There
11. Shadow of Yourself
12. Salvation
13. I Am The Spider

Interesting, but I already changed my iPod order to my listing
I really think something needs to go between "Salvation" and "I Am The Spider"... it just doesn't feel right that he's "seen the light in one breath and in the next is declaring himself the evil Spider."
"I'll Still Be There" seems like it's him recognizing that he's not going to change after all...

Only Alice can tell us.
I think this was play.co.uk's original tracklist. It must have been an early concept, because it included the bonus tracks: Maybe someone ought to give that a whirl. It makes a great deal of linear sense. Of course the prologue and epilogue would have to be moved to the new beginning and end.
* 1. Catch Me
* 2. I Know Where You Live
* 3. Vengeance Is Mine
* 4. Wrapped In Silk
* 5. I Am The Spider
* 6. Killed By Love
* 7. Hungry
* 8. Wake The Dead
* 9. Shadow Of Yourself
* 10. I'll Still Be There
* 11. Salvation

The album can be broken into pieces, if my interpretation is correct.
Opening Scene(prologue):
Prologue/I Know Where You Live
Flashback Sequence (Spider's initial escape, killing methods, past victims, and subsequent police investigation):
Vengeance is Mine
Wake the Dead
Catch Me If You Can
Back to present (after I Know Where You Live), he expresses his fantasies for his 8th victim:
Your Feminine Side
Wrapped in Silk
His fantasies lead to love:
Killed By Love
He finally makes his move on her:
I'm Hungry
The One That Got Away
Missing tidbits (after she "gets away", he tracks her down again):
I'll Still Be There
Shadow of Yourself
Repentance and Acceptance:
Salvation
I Am The Spider
I think the story really works for my interpretation. Maybe I'm wrong in that way, but I kinda dig this.

Salvation and I Am The Spider do belong as the 2 last songs on the album.
All of the prior songs are Spider talking and the last 2 are Steven.
Steven is locked up in an asylum and the Spider alter ego comes out while in there. The first 11 songs, as ToB has them listed, are the Spiders story. The last 2 are Steven. Salvation is like him waking up and realising what he does (ala WTMN) and wondering if he can be forgiven. I Am The Spider does the Psycho movie thing. At the end of Psycho the Mother personality has completely taken over Norman. Same thing here, Steven has totally become the Spider.

PLEASE, save me from this sick man!

I had a similar take on the story.

Sorry, but I can't buy into the whole "she gets away and he tracks her down again" thing.
Alice himself said a key point in the story is the fact that he falls in love and can't kill the girl.
A key point in the story that must remain.
