Your Psycho-Drama dream set-list

Post by FREEZIN » Tue Jul 22, 2008 12:42 am

I know there's been "dream set-list" topics before, but now that quite a few of us have heard all the songs from the new album, I was wondering how your set-list has changed to accompany the new songs for the Psycho Drama tour.
Here's mine:

-Intro: "His words he speaks are true. We're all humanary stew. We don't pledge allegiance to, The Black Widow...."
-No More Mr.Nice Guy
-I Know Where You Live
-What Do You want From Me
-Vengeance Is Mine
-Desperado
-I'm Hungry
-Is It My Body
-I'm 18
-Feed My Frankenstien
-Devils Food/I Love the Dead (Instrumental)
-The Awakening
*He's captured and put in the straight jacket*
-The Ballad of Dwight Fry
*He escapes from the straight jacket*
-Steven
*He's recaptured and the noose is wrapped around the neck*
*Stage goes black, spotlight lights up stage front and center where his wife begins to speak
-"We found his diary today. He wrote in great detail, how cleverly he planned all of his killings. How precisely he executed his insane fantasies. It was all so perfect, except for one thing..."
*Spotlight fades on his wife as she turns to face the platform where Alice is to be hanged. Second spotlight appears on a saddened Alice.
-How You Gonna See Me Now
-I Never Cry
*Alice is hanged and the stage goes black
**Intermission
-The One That Got Away
-Under My Wheels
-Be My Lover
-You Make Me Wanna
-(In Touch With) Your Feminine Side
*Alice's wife comes back out
-Took It Like a Woman *Interpretive dance showcasing an abusive relationship
-Killed By Love *As Alice's wife lays on the ground "battered and broken", he falls in love
-Only Women Bleed *Alice goes through mixed emotions, eventually snapping and chasing his wife offstage
***Encore
-Man Of The Year
-Elected
-Billion Dollar Babies
-School's Out *Alice's daughter comes out in a school uniform, throwing paper-airplanes and spit-balls at Alice. After Alice chases her offstage, he does his sword and balloon-popping routine
*Alice introduces the band, his wife and daughter
-Poison
-I Am the Spider
*Stage goes black, with only the spotlight on Alice. Red and blue lights start flashing as the police appear in the spotlight, hand-cuff Alice and walk him offstage.

I would like it tightened up a bit and played straight through for 30-35 in the theatrical portion of the show.

12 rockers
11 ACAS
4-5 warhorse closers
Caffeine! Caffeine!
Amphetamine
A little speed is all I need
Caffeine! Caffeine!

There's no way he's going to change the Physco Drama tour THAT much. It will be the same show with a couple of ACAS songs thrown in.

The setlists you guys have made would fit with the ACAS tour in 09.
If you call that guilty...then that's what I am

There is no way he will even change it that much for '09. Way too many songs in these lists for a 90 minute show.

Hey Feezle Nuts, what's your set list look like? Do you like any of the bonus tracks? Did you buy the new album? Are you listening to it religiously? Does it sound better in your car? or in your room? What's the best Alice picture in the packaging to you?

-Don't have one. You probably wouldn't want to hear it anyway because it wouldn't contain any songs from the new album.
-Didn't buy any of the bonus tracks. Don't have iTunes and don't want iTunes. Not very excited to hear the bonus tracks to be honest....chances are they sound like the rest of the album.
-Didn't buy the album yet....still at work.
-No...and I won't be. Having the actual album may improve the sound quality but I highly doubt it will improve the quality of the songs.
-The rest of the questions get a N/A.

Feezle-Nuts, if you don't go crazy for everything Alice Cooper records.....what band or singer DOES make you go crazy over every recording?

I think I know the answer to this question, but here's to hoping....

Obviously none. Only a mindless fanboy can declare everything that someone creates a masterpiece. Everyone screws up once in a while. They are certainly allowed.

Not trying to get nitty gritty, and I wasn't even talking about yours because like you said you pointed out that yours was more for the ACAS tour.

However, it just takes a little common sense. Alice has already started back up playing the same exact Physco Drama show as last year...so what would make you think that the release of his album he would change the setlist completely?

Again, not trying to get nitty gritty, just trying to point out to FREEZIN' that he shouldn't be expecting a huge overhaul on THIS tour.

Any addition of new songs would be great, no matter how minimal.
If I may put forward a slice of personal colostomy...

"Mindless Fanboy"!

There was a time when music was good enough that people could depend on the quality of the musicians they enjoying, so each album was good.....that has gone away now.

Styx, Queen, Led Zepplin, Black Sabbath, Journey, etc.....

Alice Cooper is nearly the last of that era and that mindset. Musicians today are not thinking about being around for 40 years.....hell, most can't get past 4 years!

But, I like the name----mindless fanboy!

I hope Alice adds a few into the set... and it would be even better if in Columbus he dedicates them to "a nut named Feezle".

I'm really hoping they sound better live. Often times that is the case.

Personally, I think that's the case for Dirty Diamonds.....and also for Public Animal #9, for me.

"Dirty Diamonds" never really did it for me live (except the tossing of diamond necklaces was cool).... while "Woman of Mass Distraction" was kinda cool live with the siren and everything.

I actually didn't care for WOMD live or studio. I personally hope he drops it and Dirty Diamonds. If he plays anything from the last 2 albums, I would go for something we haven't heard before. I doubt that would happen though. I still think This House is Haunted would work well live.
