Is it? What store would you normally go to pick one up? I'm not a big buyer of magazines, and every time I want to get one for a certain feature in it, I usually have to go a couple places to find what I'm looking for. Any leads on where Classic Rock is more likely to be sold would be great!WickedYoungMan wrote: Oops, fair enough. Classic Rock is of course carried in the U.S. as well (though I would assume the release date mentioned is a U.K. release date?) I think DD was in had an add in it as well.
First Look at Album Packaging?

In North America, in order to find Classic Rock Magazine, it is best to go to stores that sell a larger array of music magazines. Does that help at all? I can't name a specific store because it probably varies from city to city. Classic Rock is a good magazine to find. It is one of the only music magazines to still feature Alice regularly and they give him very positive reviews. They are very pro-Alice.NotSoPerfect wrote: Is it? Hmmmm, never seen a Chapters or Books-A-Million. I may check out Borders and/or Barnes and Noble. I got the Vintage Guitar magazine with the Damon Johnson feature last year at Borders, and evidentally that was harder to find than I'd have thought. Stephen Jensen said he didn't even have a copy, and Damon said it was hard to find.

I've seen it in Barnes and Nobles when in the US. although you are usually a month behind us.
As it is available in the US, you could simply go in and ask them to order a copy for you each month. If it works the same as over here it should be on their computer system to order even if they don't stock it.
It is the best music mag out there IMHO.
Hell, they'll even print letters from Baz!

I HAVE IT!!! I hold it in my hands! Yessss! Yeeepee!
Er... cough... ahem.
I mean I just went to buy the new album and had a first look at the booklet. I love it!
Now I must try to work some, and then go fetch a friend at the station tonight, but I'll be listening to it all week end and I'll come back to post what I think!

No idea why, but it's relaesed today in Switzerland, Germany and Austria! Yay for us!
Well I don't want to give too many spoilers for people who want to wait... so if you don't want to know about the package don't read the following!
Well we all saw the photos and how great they are, so I was impatient to see how they have been used in the booklet and packaging. The sleeve itself is as was posted before (there was a link to a photo of the digipack on the first page of this thread), with photos from Stevens diary.
The booklet itself is high in colours, very bright colours, some pages are in a 50's poster style, copying the hammer horror style of movie posters. Other pages have a 60's and 70's font style. Etc. Each page has a different font for the song title.
I have a feeling it was done to give the sense of time passing, as Steven is slipping into the persona of Spider ?
The photos have been heavily reworked, some look a bit like drawings, the page for "Salvation" is all ethearal and unreal, as if it was a dream. Alice's face is all smooth and surreal, it felt weird at first but I guess it conveys a sense of "suspension in time".
I seriously think it's one of the best album covers Alice had in a while, even though I liked the one for "Eyes" also. Great work!
