I do very much wish that Pain was still in the setlist.

I'm not really surprised by there being no change in the setlist last night from the previous run of dates, since it is a continuation of the same tour.

And more importantly, everyone was CRAZY BUSY on the "break" from this tour.

Yeah, just wishful thinking on my part. Even though I know the logistics of everyone being busy on the break, etc I guess I’m just in that denial mode, ha. I really hope they have some amazing things planned for next years tour - and hoping they finally get rid of that FrankenAlice lol!
I don't think it's wishful thinking just on your part haha. I feel like there's a few sickthings that would love to at least see a little change-up in the setlist. Here's my impression of the first show of this leg:

The WI State Fair was my 10th Alice Cooper show, and he is still as phenomenal as when I saw him in 2004 (My first concert ever!). With that said, this was definitely not my favorite AC concert either. Maybe it was because I couldn't grab any close seats or maybe the state fair doesn't always create a great atmosphere for AC, but something just felt a little off for me. It's hard for me to put my finger on it. I think the lowest part of the show was WOMD because without Nita, I really don't see what that song does for anyone. It's not a hit that will please the casual fans and its a song that the hardcore fans have likely either heard before, or would replace if they had the option.

As for crowd reaction, it seemed to really range. The crowd on the floor stood the whole time and looked pretty engaged, but my section in the grandstands was quite dull. Occasionally someone would stand with me haha. Toward the end, it seemed like there was more people singing (or singing louder), in my section.

I know that I've been focusing on the negatives, so here are just a few of the many positives. I think Serious was awesome and I loved the glitzy/flashy jacket and lights during the song. While it's basically the same as before, the OWB/Ballad of Dwight Frye/Killer portion is always exciting and thrilling. I loved hearing the Paranormal songs and they sounded great. Also, since the second half of the set seems to be filled with more of the theatrics, it really flies by!

So there's my long review that no one asked for :p . All in all, it's the same great show with an excellent band. I think the only downfall for long-term fans is that it is the same great show.
I agree with a lot of points you make, and we have had a nearly identical Cooper run over the last ~15 years.

I do my best to stay away from the state fair shows. Alice’s show just isn’t meant for those venues, in my opinion, ESPECIALLY if you are in the stands.

It’s better than nothing, but if you have the choice, I’d pick a cozy theater every time.

Caught the Edmonton show tonight . Not sure how he does it ? What energy and strength he has ! The band was amazing too . Seen him first time 1975 . Setlist moaners stop it - we know it's not perfect but who cares ? You put the same record on with the same songs and love it so ... Really enjoyed Serious and the two new tunes . If I was to have acomplaint , I could pass on the guillotine routine . Hope he plays out this way again soon ! :alice:

Was at this very show too... and Calgary the night prior.

Loved the addition of Serious.

The shows in Alberta last week (and I believe elsewhere where Alice is the only performer) started at 8:15pm sharp.

Five days to go until the New York City, Beacon Theatre gig...super excited.

A great venue, with great sound.

Worked my way from the first row balcony to the 5th row.

My 18th Alice show...

...18, hmm, does it mean a thing?

Great show in Cincinnati last night! I really enjoyed "Grim Facts" and "Serious," in particular. Even though I saw a show back in March, this setlist still felt pretty fresh, IMO, even though it's the same except for "Grim Facts" for "Be My Lover."

Great photos, as always, SickRick!

Does anyone know if Calico will be in the show for the UK leg of the tour?

Unlikely. She only really does occasional guest appearances if she happens to be around. She stopped touring with her father years ago.

Thanks. I thought I'd seen a social media post recently that looked like she was on the road with them, but quite possible it was a one-off, or that I misinterpreted.

Sheryl Cooper, Alice's wife, plays the nurse in the show.

Yeah, I know that's been the case for a few years now. I saw something from Calico recently that made me think she was out with them, but it's possible it was an old photo, a crossing of paths on the road, or that I am simply mistaken :)
