Press Relase.
Dennis Dunaway, Michael Bruce and Neal Smith will tour UK with Alice in November 2017

On May 14th, 2017 following Alice Cooper’s customary execution via guillotine on stage at his Nashville concert, fans were treated to something rarely seen since 1973. The stage went dark and original band members, bassist Dennis Dunaway, guitarist Michael Bruce and drummer Neal Smith reunited to perform a five song mini-set of their classic hits with Alice.
This followed the recent announcement that his forthcoming album – Paranormal, out July 28th on earMUSIC – will include two new recordings written and recorded by the original line-up (“Genuine American Girl and “You And All Of Your Friends”).
Now, Alice announces that the three members of the original Alice Cooper band will join him on tour in the UK, returning to these shores 46 years after they first shocked and enthralled us on their historic 1971 tour.
In Nashville, they were joined by current band member Ryan Roxie filling in for the late Glen Buxton on guitar. The band ripped through “I’m 18,” “No More Mr Nice Guy,” “Muscle of Love,” “Billion Dollar Babies” and then closed with “School’s Out,” bringing back current band members – drummer Glen Sobel, bassist Chuck Garric, and guitarists Nita Strauss and Tommy Henriksen for a grand finale.

Absolutely flabbergasted. Had to read it several times, and then just sat here thinking "Wow..." And I'm going to take my kids as well, first time they see Alice and they get the full band. I literally couldn't be more excited about anything.

This news is right up there with the gig at the 100 club , any idea when they will do the set regarding the timing of the other 2 support acts ?

Nothing to do with support acts. The come on after the Guillotine during the main set and remain till the end of the show.

So stoked for the UK fans. Here's hoping that this mini-set makes its way to the US next year.

I think I saw someone theorize here that the Two-Headed Alice on the Paranormal cover was to suggest the tale of two Alices - band Alice and solo Alice. The UK tour seems to suggest a similar sentiment. Since the RnR Hall of Fame, the band has done a lot of little things together - appearances, one-off live shows, recorded a few new songs. The momentum is undeniable and it just may snowball into something bigger, whether a wider-scale tour or a full-blown album.

If anything, Hollywood Vampires proved that with Alice, anything is possible.

I think that is stretching it. It's often argued that no one knows the original band amyway so Alice's heads would be talking to themselves.

I'd be very surprised if we didn't get a new live DVD featuring this

I think that could happen if there was demand, but how many would be interested is the question (as Andy makes mention of on another thread)?

Well, I never do M&G's as I prefer to spend my money on actual shows and planes and hotels, but this would be tempting. Mind you I could barely breathe when I met Dennis so all four of them? :bam:

It wouldn`t be all four. The band one would be seperate from Alice.

Just watched the piece flagged up on the news page about the restoration of Glen's old SG. Very wishful thinking here, but it would be superb if Ryan Roxie played that very guitar for the original band encore.
