Alice touring with Motley Crue?
A tour poster seems to have leaked. The rumor is Alice is doing the first leg.

I wish this was coming to the UK as that would be me getting both my favourite rock bands.
However surley Alice is a bigger draw than Motley, I know its there farewell tour just seems weird Alice being Motleys opening act.

It may seem weird, but no, Alice is not a bigger draw. Mötley still fills arenas, and they're sure to do so on this farewell tour. This is no different from Alice opening for Iron Maiden.

Oh, Come On!
I'm an Alice Fanboy and I accept it.
But you CAN'T compare the Alice Show with the one that The Crüe always offer. Motley can sell out an arena with no problem. Their shows are brutally fantastic. Sorry but it is true.
But I Wish,IHope, As a birthday present (today is my Bday) that this tour is true
Not happy for the farewell but the time Crüe came to CHile for the first time, they came with Alice (Crue 1 day, Cooper the next)
And I Had to choose between them and obviously I chose The Coop.... Problem... The show was cancelled as you all already know.
I Was left without meat or bread
And if they come TOGETHER, I'll be the happiest man on earth. I'd sell whatever to be on first row.
I'll hope this is true.

I wouldn't expect them to be touring the world together.
Sounds to me like this will be one leg of the US Tour.

"It appears that Motley Crue‘s long talked-about farewell tour will be announced soon. And as a bonus to fans, it seems the opening act will be one of their heroes, Alice Cooper.
Eddie Trunk broke the news last night (Jan. 16) on Twitter, with a post that included a picture of a tour poster which had Cooper listed as the “very special guest.” (The tweet has since been deleted.)
Blabbermouth is reporting that the tour dates will be announced at a press conference on Jan. 28 in Los Angeles. Above the band will be a banner with the rumored tour slogan, “RIP: All Bad Things Must Come to An End.” Later that day, the band will appear on the ABC late-night television program ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ where they will perform on an outdoor stage.
Motley Crue have been hinting about calling it quits since early 2013, delivering one more album and then embarking on a world tour for the next two years."

Re: Alice touring with Motley Crue?
I am sure it will be just one leg, they are going to hit do this for a couple of years, so I am sure there will be several high profile opening acts taking a few legs. Always disappointing to see Alice opening. However, if it comes synonymously with the covers lp, at least nobody will be complaining about all the new songs he won't be playing.

Re: Alice touring with Motley Crue?
Funny how Motley Crue has chosen an act that has preceded them by over a decade and will likely continue to outlast them as their opening act for their "Farewell" tour. Motley had a good run for a few years in the 80s but I doubt they will ever have the long-lasting influence as Alice has. Maybe if their fans see an "old" guy still putting on a killer show before them, perhaps it will put Motley to shame.
Cooper took the stage, put on the best rock show since Gloria Estefan/Miami Sound Machine in 1987.

No doubt that Coop's band will blow the Crue off the stage.
Am I they only one that would like to see Ori guest on Girls, Girls, Girls?

Re: Alice touring with Motley Crue?
I don't think anyones gonna be blown off stage, they band still kicks ass and have you seen Motley Crue's show lately ? Alice is my favorite but Motley Crue are a much bigger band right now and are amazing live. If this is true it will be great show, I just hope they play arena's and Alice is allowed to use full production.
Ori on Girls, Girls, Girls would be perfect!! I could see her getting along with Mick really well.

Re: Alice touring with Motley Crue?
I like the Crue, and from a general fan perspective, they will definitely not get blown off the stage. However, if we are talking pure musicianship, there will be no comparison. Mick doing a spotlight solo is very cringeworthy, only thing worse is when Paul Stanley used to do one.

Re: Alice touring with Motley Crue?
Knowing that Alice will tour this year is always great news. Not crazy about the Crue, but I don't see why they would do a Farewell tour. I don't believe that, must be a publicity stunt. Those guys can't stop touring. Music, the road, the fans, that's their lives.

Re: Alice touring with Motley Crue?
Yes, I saw the Crüe with Kiss recently. They can play but Vince Neil can't sing worth a flip any more. Not in Coop's league, but this is a much better pairing than Zombie or Maiden.
Look on the bright side, Coop will have to redo his show because Mick Mars is scarier than any prop Alice has rought on stage in decades, LOL!

Re: Alice touring with Motley Crue?
Nikki Sixxs' side band has done two really good albums. They've gotten airplay with songs off each of them. It just may be that a Sixx AM tour would not be as lucrative as one with The Crue. But that could change after a "Farewell Tour" and the extended break that would occur afterwards. Adding The Coop may not boost ticket sales all that much but it will be a great show!

How many "Farewell Tours" have the Crue done now?

Re: Alice touring with Motley Crue?
Now it's different
The last farewells were because of drug problems or fights between members
Now they all agree to leave it there
I guess it's because Vince's voice and performance
Along with Mars illness. Mick Mars is in top shape but in a few years?
They said they don't want to be a "Former top act performing lamely at a small theater"
Those are good reasons to do a farewell

They may take a 3-5 year break, but they'll be back.
