Re: Alice touring with Motley Crue?
They can't even agree on why they're farewelling. Tommy says it's because of Mick's health, and Mick says it has nothing to do with his health.

Of course they need a scapegoat. How do you say to the fans "The singer is in the worst phase of his lifebecause he annot sing anymore and we believe the guitarman who's our friend might be dead in a few years
If you find a "sensitive" way to say that, I think they might say it

No matter what You won't stop KISS
I love the band but egos are too high. Paul MUST rest foir a season and take care of his voice and he won't do it so.... Singing like a hurt old bird will be the new signature voice for the band hahaha

They will be back at some point because none of these guys can maintain their standard of living with any other act/job.
And if Mick can't do it, they'll do it with someone else on guitar.
Write it down.

That's probably what a bunch of people said about KISS when they did their FIRST farewell tour!Lucius Morthem wrote:That's true but it's probable that They will do it for special days or something like that, I Doubt that they will be reuniting to a full tour

Technically, KISS has only done one Farewell Tour. And technically, it was a real Farewell Tour, as Ace & Peter left during and after that tour.

Re: Alice touring with Motley Crue?
I never understood why KISS always gets used as an example of bands doing multiple Farewell tours. As you said they have only done 1 farewell tour and that was 14 years ago, and it was a farewell tour of the original band.SickThings wrote:Technically, KISS has only done one Farewell Tour. Re: Alice touring with Motley Crue?
Well, part of the problem is that the "multiple farewell tour" idea is perpetuated in the media, and such. I'm not saying it's correct (as you and Hunter have pointed out), but it's a common (mis)conception...even by the Crue.

Re: Alice touring with Motley Crue?
And now they're all (temporarily) gone from TM....
The important part so far is that it looks like Coop will be on the Crue tour for all of 2014 and not just one leg as previously speculated. The first date I've seen so far is Cincinnati on July 6, and the last was November 13, so it looks like he'll be on a lot longer than was the case with the Iron Maiden tour.

Re: Alice touring with Motley Crue?
The stream JUST started, they were late. I forgot I had the Crue site open in a tab and the sound just kicked in.
Apparently it's 72 dates, and the guy intro-ing it said they actually have their lawyer there to explain the how and why of why this WILL be the FINAL tour.
Ah, he JUST said the band is not even there yet. And Alice is, he'll be talking shortly.
