Show changes?
Has the show changed now that the tour has gone from "Masters of Madness" to "Raise the Dead" since Manson has left the tour.
I had read somewhere Alice stating a new show was to begin after the Tour with Manson was over.

Re: Show changes?
By all accounts, it's basically the "Raise The Dead" show but with some of the tweaks that were added for the "Master of Madness" Tour.
"Raise The Dead" was only toured briefly in the US at the end of last Fall.

What I meant was what songs have been added to the present show now that Manson portion has departed.
The Alice set was a bit shorter with the Masters shows. Have the shows going forward gotten longer

Yes..."Caffeine" and "The Congregation" were both back in as of the July 2nd South Bend show... plus the 4 cover songs.

I think the subtle changes refer to the theatric tweaks.Lucius Morthem wrote:Nothing else ?

Re: Show changes?
So it's the typical raise the dead set with the guilotine and nurse rozetta? so basically song wise Killer comes in for He's back ?
He's back made the set great, why cut it? Ah well.

Re: Show changes?
Looking at setlist.fm it appears that not only is He's Back gone but The Congregation is as well, I woulda loved to see both of them
Re: Show changes?
I'm completely baffled why he'd drop He's Back. It's a well enough known song that a number of casual fans will know it, and it's enough of a live rarity that it will please the diehard fans. Not to mention it sounded great last year based on recordings.

Re: Show changes?
The Congregation was only cut for Milwaukee (outdoor, festival show, first one after Manson). I then saw the next show in South Bend, and Congregation was back. He's Back is still out, which is a bummer. Have never seen that, and was hoping to.thenightmare92 wrote:Looking at setlist.fm it appears that not only is He's Back gone but The Congregation is as well, I woulda loved to see both of them
I'm not sure, as I don't recall seeing it mentioned before. At the start of the covers section, was there previously a bit with Alice getting wheeled back out on a stretcher, with a bit of a narration about how he'd "cheated death" and was now "living on borrowed time" having ended up "in the graveyard of the Hollywood vampires?" If it wasn't there before...it is now!
One other tiny thing I noticed. Between the last show I saw last year (mid-June) and now (so there's a LOT of time, and it likely happened long ago), they've put an effect on Frankenstein's voice when he comes out to finish up FMF.

That wasn't there at Turning Stone, I know that. Can't speak for the rest of the Fall tour, but I haven't heard that mentioned before.NotSoPerfect wrote: I'm not sure, as I don't recall seeing it mentioned before. I do hope he ditches the entire "raise the blood pressure of life long fans by doing cover music" tour.
The 7/18 NYC is billed as (or it was) "An Evening of Alice Only" or something like that....let's hope so!
Here it is...."All Alice, All Night"

Re: Show changes?
I attended Sunday's show in Cincinnati, and I loved every minute of it. The intro to the "Raise the Dead" portion of the show was awesome (and much improved over earlier shows). The crowd loved hearing those songs, including me, and I wasn't sure about it when I first heard about it, either. I thought it all went great.Parish wrote:I do hope he ditches the entire "raise the blood pressure of life long fans by doing cover music" tour.

Its Alice so I can totally understand what your saying. I'd just rather swap "Halo Of Flies" for "Break On Through" etc...SickThings wrote:I attended Sunday's show in Cincinnati, and I loved every minute of it.
