I'm guessing the mystery part of the show is gonna be Alice doing cover songs of dead musicians. If so he has to do Michael Jacksons Thriller, especially since he's got Orianthi!

That's kinda what I thought too. Perhaps that supposed covers album will be called "Raise The Dead".

i'd think maybe he'll just have people dressed up as famous dead people, maybe zombified. if there was a section that was not Alice songs, i wouldn't be impressed.

moot point though, since i'll not be going. comes to something when you can be away for about a week and a half and miss the entire country's leg of a tour :-( hoping he adds more dates later but can't see it happening so that's gonna be another year gone, given he's doing the cruise thing next year.

what a bummer.

I'm sure there will be UK dates next year, just not at Halloween.

I really hope we dont have 20-30mins of cover songs! Was hoping the Raise the dead maybe a reference to bringing back some songs which he hasnt played for years.

I'm also hoping that there isn't a whole section of covers. Maybe one or two covers would be cool but I had my hopes up that Raise the Dead might mean a few of Alice's rare songs back in the setlist.

I'm really looking forward to this tour though. Whatever he does I'm sure it will be great. Alice has never let me down before so I doubt he'll start now.

I'll be at the Bournemouth gig:D

PS: Just remembered that Ugly Kid Joe is warming up. :D

I was afraid that part of the new show would be a showcase for the supposed new covers album. Off the top of my head, dead friends could include Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, John Lennon, Keith Moon etc. These names could easily provide the basis for a set of covers that would be better suited to one of these Albert Hall shindigs or the like.

I really, really hope this isn't what happens. I've now made up my mind to check out a setlist or two before the show I'm going to so I can at least prepare myself for that eventuality should it happen. One or two covers I can live with, a whole bunch of them will be a major disappointment.

And to think I got annoyed when "Brown Sugar" was in the middle of the set for a show or two last year! Oh well, if it is a set of covers... and we don't know for sure that it is... I'll try to enjoy it for what it is. It might actually be cool. I guess they can throw a mask on Pat for each dead person and he can come out and do a little dance while they play. :rotfl:

One thing that I would guess is since Alice mentioned that it doesn't make sense for Alice to do a cover song "in character", that the 3rd part of the show will be without make-up... unless these covers are going to be done in a really twisted Alice kind of way.

I hope it's not a bunch of covers. If it is I'm sure Alice will do a great job but still...

Any new songs (covers or never played songs) have my interest. Let's wait and be surprised.

Considering raise the dead is likely to be the tour for the next 18 months or so I would be surprised to see a covers section lasting that long on a tour.

It could be anything

From AC.com

"THIS NEW TOUR WILL BEGIN ON OCTOBER 24TH IN CARDIFF, AND ACCORDING TO ALICE WILL FEATURE THREE MAIN PARTS... CLASSIC ALICE TRACKS, A "NIGHTMARE" SECTION WITH TRACKS FROM THE ORIGINAL ALBUM "WELCOME TO MY NIGHTMARE" AND HIS MOST RECENT ALBUM "WELCOME 2 MY NIGHTMARE", FOLLOWED BY AN ENTIRELY NEW CONCEPT THAT HE WON'T REVEAL. ALSO IN THE WORKS IS A NEW EXECUTION.

ALICE BEGINS REHEARSALS FOR THE NEW TOUR IN EARLY OCTOBER.

"

If this so called new concept that's top secret ends up being a covers section saying I will be disappointed would be an understatement .

I've pretty much convinced myself that a section of covers is exactly what we'll be getting. I really hope I'm wrong.

Sorry I can's Re-Dismember were I saw it...

I think it was amongst the many attached to the Universal site which you can access from the front page link. I have tried to find it again but with no joy I will have another go at finding it and let you know if I do.
