I agree with you in all points. Nearly went mad when I saw this Friday afternoon. Also got quite decent seats but... what a rip off

I don't know what's up with that. It was the same with Montreux this year. Everyone thought they had standing tickets as usual except there were suddenly seats, and the standing places were in the aisle far away! I nearly left I was so upset and some people actually did!

They had either added the seats later (happened before) or omitted the map on-line (it also suddenly showed up after the first weeks of selling). I can't imagine that the artists appreciate to play to rows of empty seats, with their fans somewhere in the back corners. Thank goodness this won't be the case here.

Just thought I'd give you the heads up that apparently this show will be streamed live.

Oh dear! Better behave then... Not! :p

All of the AVO concerts are being broadcast, I have most of the shows I've seen there on dvd, but I've never seen them live streamed, that's new. And very cool I'm not sure it will be available outside Germany but if it does you can all be there with us!

Thanks for that my dear. And enjoy the Frankfurt show! :alice:

Really?
It works fine for me, I get a page with a countdown for the streaming.

Maybe Dragonlady is right and it doesn't work outside Germany?

And in my case Switzerland, although I get an error messsage in the window (could be because I'm having problems with java). But Arte is visible in the whole of Europe maybe your local channel will have it too?

Meanwhile I've been fretting, I know there's always been cameras at that festival and at the old hall you could still slip in and lean on the stage. I hope I didn't pay a fortune to see the back of a cameraman again. It would be my only chance so far to see Alice from so close!

YES! The festival President is still the best! He came to us and explained he wanted us to get closer once the photographers left. He did the same the last time (especially that memorable Tom Jones concert)

I spent the entire concert leaning on the speaker in front of the "Spider" device (on which Alice stands)

I can die happy now I've fulfilled a lifelong dream (well half life as it's been 22 years. I doubt I can sleep much tonight.

He, he I've recovered a little by now. :)

I was looking into the Arte thing. It should still be possible to view it but only in France and Germany. Which is a bit silly since the concert took place here. Anyway all AVO concerts are aired in most countries. Just keep your eyes peeled.

I get mail notifications when they air something on one of the German speaking channels. So I suppose it will air elsewhere around the same time, I'll post here when I get it.

I suppose Switzerland is excluded once more... silly little island.
I tried registering but nothing, it still says I don't have the rights to watch it :(

At least there are some videos on youtube from a person who was right behind me. I posted some in my review just now:

Strange, I could watch some of the other videos. They all say they'll be up for 180 days.
But I still get the message: https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-jx-B ... itre-2.jpg
