yeah I noticed that this time.Dragonlady wrote:OK Got Cardiff, Wolverhampton, Bournemouth and London.
Now if only the receipt would show the details of the venues. With my bird brain (see above) I am not sure I really ordered what I just said. I have no way of being sure I got it all right.
Wanted to get general admission for all but think Nottingham may be all seated unless the general admission all went really quick as added that one 3rd to my order and no general admission option was available, got 2 tickets for Nottimgham a mate of mine who lives near Nottingham has never seen Alice before and wanted to go, plus saves me one less hotel bill!
Train to Scotland next day is gonna be probably with a hangover from hell as we always get wasted when we meet up!

Re: UK Halloween dates announced
I just hope they will not replay the Alexandra Palace fiasco with the will call tickets! That was so horrid. I prefer to hold my tickets in my hand when I leave home (figuratively speaking)
I was a bit surprised that Bournemouth only offered seated tickets. Maybe the are trying to fill these first? I only managed a balcony seat, I hope I can upgrade that.
But Cardiff, I've never seen any GA configuration there. And according to the seating map I got a front row centre seat so I won't complain!
It's not bad like this, I alternate GA and seated show, I can recover a bit in between!
Now I suspect that if things go like last year we'll have one indoors date in Switzerland too, and that would make one more date in October! Oh dear!

Got London. As long as it's not a repeat of what happened with Ally Pally, as Dragonlady said, it'll be fine!

Re: UK Halloween dates announced
I remember Bournemouth IC being a great venue - queuing up indoors and the staff were great at organising / making sure those who got there early got in first.
This is a break in tradition for me, as it's the first time not being able to make it to an Alice show in the UK. It's been 11 years on the trot up until now!

And you will be missed!
Apparently I'll be with a friend in Wembley, maybe two. It's all looking good.

Just a heads up, from what I remember Wolverhampton was a bit of a nightmare which turned into a fiasco last time we went, when they opened the doors round the bar side first. Going to what till they are on general sale on Friday so I have tickets in hand before the gigs.

Looking forward to it!steven_crayn wrote:Hi Penny, it's standing and seating a hall that you can get about 3,000 in with great acoustics hosting concerts since 1914.
Maybe see you on some of the dates?
Btw, anybody know whether Sheffield City Hall is all seated or has a standing bit? AC.Com only selling circle tickets atm

It's all seated. And indeed, AC.com seem to have circle tickets only in their presale this time. I assume all the floor tickets have gone into the O2 presalecherrypie wrote:Looking forward to it!steven_crayn wrote:Hi Penny, it's standing and seating a hall that you can get about 3,000 in with great acoustics hosting concerts since 1914.

Re: UK Halloween dates announced
Well, it's possible, I guess. But I was on the computer at 9.am, and there was still no floor seats on Ac.com, maybe they haven't been released yet. So there's still a chance we may get floor seats.....

Re: UK Halloween dates announced
Hopefully you're right. I was also on my computer since 9 a.m. However I remember all the confusion around the presale for Sheffield last year... Many of us ended up buying multiple tickets to the show because of that. But let's just wait and see.

Re: UK Halloween dates announced
I'll have a look tomorrow at the Planet Rock pre-sale, and then the "normal sale" I'd like a standing ticket for Bournemouth. Guess it's the way these venues work.
At least Cardiff sold the first row in this sale which is fabulous! Really can't complain.
Good thing I am seeing Alice in August I am so wound up now and October seems so far

Re: UK Halloween dates announced
Ah OK. Thanks Ravenred. Well, I hope I can upgrade then.
Then again a show from far would be a change, and there wouldn't be anyone in front of me as it's the first balcony row.
I have such bad memories of Edinburgh a few years back where I nearly walked away as I couldn't see a thing.

Re: UK Halloween dates announced
nuts :-(
i'm in the US on Hallowe'en and the other dates are too far away; w/ the price of petrol etc it's just getting too expensive to trawl hundreds of miles for 2hrs of gig.
surprised at the decreasing number of dates, unless more will be announced in due course for a fullt tour (as opposed to the specifically-named Hallowe'en ones).
