*** SPOILER ALERT ***

Setlist is pretty much the same - don't have the exact running order top hand and internet connection here in Biloxi has been sporadic at best. Clones is no longer in there, Caffeine and Brown Sugar are, along with an additional encore song that will also be played at Bonaroo tonight - a cover that none of us saw coming, yet at the same time is not that much of a surprise...

Since "nobody saw it coming", I would assume not.

Born This Way

Why isn't he playing his own new album instead of Gaga's?

You should be pleased. After all, you appear to be a Klaus Nomi admirer.

Hell yeah, Klaus Nomi. Not relevant to this thread, but the chance to mention him comes up so rarely.

Klaus Nomi ...yes..Lady Ga Ga no... :0 My friends who are going to see Cooper with me next sat is never gonna let this one go... You dont realize how much I go on about hating Ga Ga...I believe Ga Ga is nothing but a rip off from Grace Jones.

I'm pretty certain that Alice and Gaga are on good terms, and he likes to shock everyone (including his fans, remember Ke$hagate!) so perhaps not that much of a surprise?

That may or may not be true but you she also admires Alice greatly to the extent that she wrote him a note inside one of her tour programmes which apparently read "Thank you for letting me steal your show".

My guess is that "Born This Way" was added to shock the Bonnaroo crowd.

Well at least its not Toxic by Britney Spears ...I could see that song follow "Poison" for some odd reason..To be truthful, I am not big on Alice doing covers...he writes some pretty good tunes himself and a show of all Alice Songs would be more suited for me. Tim

The latter - I should have made that clear.

Last year - when they met.

No Hunter, he added it so you can look fabulous dancing to it in Dayton.

Alice has soooooooo many songs he hasn't played in a while sooooo many surprises were potential, yet all he can think if is 2 shitty cover songs?

Wouldnt be surprised if he got booed off stage pulling off lady gaga covers opening for Maiden, but i'm sure Alice himself isn't that stoopid (or at least one would hope)

set anyways:

Vincent Price intro
The Black Widow
Brutal Planet
I'm Eighteen
Under My Wheels
Billion Dollar Babies
No More Mr. Nice Guy
Hey Stoopid
Brown Sugar (The Rolling Stones cover)
Halo of Flies
I'll Bite Your Face Off
Muscle of Love
Only Women Bleed
Cold Ethyl
Feed My Frankenstein
Caffeine
Poison
Wicked Young Man
School's Out
Elected
Born this Way Cover (Lady GaGa)

I can't say I'm thrilled to see a cover in the middle of the set. With 25 albums of material, I really don't need to hear Alice do Rolling Stones songs (or Lady Gaga for that matter, but I suspect there's a humor component there at least.)

This isn't just a criticism of Alice, I can honestly say whenever I go to see any of my favorite bands, the last thing I want to see is a cover tune.
