As always it's divided. I am on the Maiden FC and a lot will slag alice saying he is cheesy and they dont get his props / stage show, not heavy enough, would rather be having a beer outside while he is on etc ... While others say he puts on a really enjoyable show.

Maiden fans have no room to accuse anybody of being cheesy.

Well, I don`t like this at all.

1. More expensive tickets
2. Larger halls / stadiums which means usually farther away from the stage.
3. Shorter set. Not good !!!
4. I`m not a fan of the newer Iron Maiden stuff at all. And I would not go to a Maiden concert if not Alice was playing with them.

Good for Alice though, playing to larger crowds.
It`s all in this luney tune....

And how exactly are Maiden cheesy? Maiden and Alice are my favorite and second favorite live acts, respectively, and I don't see all the hate for Maiden on here. Over on the IMOC where people usually bitch and moan to no end about the opener no matter who is opening, everyone seems really receptive to Alice opening...why can't the Alice fans give Maiden the same amount of respect?

First of all, it's a shame you don't like their more recent stuff, I think it's some of their strongest material ever. Second of all, lucky for you this tour is gonna be focused on 80's material, and you can probably expect a setlist that looks something like this:
1. Moonchild (Tape intro)
2. The Evil That Men Do
3. Die With Your Boots On
4. The Trooper
5. Wasted Years
6. Infinite Dreams
7. Killers
8. Still Life
9. The Clairvoyant
10. Phantom Of The Opera
11. Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son
12. Fear Of The Dark
13. Iron Maiden
---encore---
14. The Prisoner
15. Hallowed Be Thy Name
16. Sanctuary

^That's just my guess for this tour, but I'm usually pretty spot on in my guesses...haven't gotten more than 3 songs wrong for a single tour since '05.

Looks like a good set list..Alice concerts I have attended-a fair number- in Uk have always had a healthy contingent of Maiden fans-both bands great live-if it comes to Uk in some form, would be interested- similarily would be quite happy if AC supported Ac/Dc ( a lot of AC friendly fans also)
You are an individual, just like everybody else.

Really?

You seem to be taking all of this far too personally and seriously.

I can't agree. "Brave New World" was really the last good Maiden album. They'd be well served to find a different producer to work with as all the Kevin Shirley stuff tends to sound the same. "The Final Frontier" was a step up from "Dance of Death" and the atrocious "A Matter of Life and Death", but that's not exactly saying much.

I'm glad this tour is based around "Seventh Son of a Seventh Son" because that's my all-time favorite Maiden album.

I'm not trying to take it personally; I'm asking a legitimate question. Generally speaking from talking to other Alice fans at shows and whatnot, they usually seem to be pretty open minded, and vice versa about Maiden fans. I never would've imagined Alice fans would be so negative about Alice and Maiden sharing the bill.

And I don't disagree BNW is the best of the recent albums, if only because it has the best production. In terms of songwriting, Dance Of Death is my favorite followed closely by The Final Frontier, but they've both got a very bland production.

I'm so excited for this bill Alice and Iron Maiden are two of my all time favorite bands. I'm going to this show with two people who haven't seen either Alice or Maiden before. One of the people I'm going with only goes to maybe 2-3 shows a year with me, so normally they would only catch one of these bands. But now they get two incredible bands for the price of one. This will be my 7th Alice show, and my 2nd Maiden show, I just feel fortunate enough to be able to see both of these bands live again.

Won Maiden's First To The Barrier contest for Fan Club members for the tour kickoff in Charlotte. Gonna be about my 10th Maiden gig on the barrier, and my 4th Alice gig on the barrier, very excited!

I know i dont post here much and you all dont know me very well but, i will be at the July 19th show in Noblesville, Indiana.

I have lawn seats (not the best in the venue but, ill be there at least... that and pavillion seats if they was available were pretty expensive).

Looking forward to it though.

Nice photos Rick.

Please tell me Ori didn't get some bad tats on her arm since last week and that it was only stage makeup.

Just found out this morning that I got picked for "First To The Barrier" in Bristow.

This should be fun.

It's a perk of the Iron Maiden fan club. A few fans per show get selected to enter the venue first, rather like the early entry for Alice fans that have purchased the VIP package.
Schooooooooooooool's Ouuuuuuuuuuuuut. FOR. EVER!
