that's the problem w/ Alice, he's never OFF the road! He's the only person i can think of that actually releases a new album in the middle of a tour! Much as i'd love this to be the new show, purely because Alice on Hallowe'en is an amazing concept for me and i doubt dates/tours will align in my favour again, i'd prefer the W2MN show to be fully thought out, designed, rehearsed to make it a full-on theatrical concept : i think he's been too busy w/ the NMMNG tour to consider this at the moment so i'd like to see him do several months of dedicated planning to make the new show something really special.

Not trying to decide, just don't want to confirm if it will happen or not, lol.

Some things have a habit of collapsing at the last minute when I'm involved, lol.

just got the M&G mail, didn't give any specific time to be there : the last time, we had to be at the venue early and the original mail this time said "generally" things happened early.
guess i'll just try and get to the place for about 6 ~ or would earlier be better, to assure a parking space? Anyone got experience of this venue? TIA.

Usually there is more than enough parking there. However I know that Bruno Mars is playing there the same night as Alice so it may be a bit busier than usual.

Parking is usually fine, but it'll skin you £6 and take you about three hours to get out the car park after the gig kicks out... Be warned.

Dead easy to get to on foot from the city centre though, and has a dedicated train station.

cheers for the info. i'll take my chances as i'll be on the M&G and the place should have thinned out by the time we leave. Driving up from Newcastle so i just basically wanna get there and have a safe place w/out having to wander across town etc.
edit - just checked the Central Station site, parking there for the duration of a concert would be way more than the SECC itself.

site says that Bruno thing opens 6:30 so i'm gonna try hitting the place for 5 ~ 5:30. pain in the butt having to loiter around, but it'll give me rethink time if something goes SNAFU regarding the parking. if all goes well, i cn just wander about scaring children, as i'm going in makeup :-D

I think I will do the same. Head there for about and see about he m&g tickets. There's a bar/shop/resteraunt in the secc anyway plenty places to wait. Who knows if we are really lucky we may also meet Bruno Mars while we wait!!
