All our photos from the tour are now up in the photo section including shots of the chicken 'killing' and Arthur Brown on stage with Alice.

Great photos Si! Looks like the stage at Glasgow was pretty close to him - not like AP which had a ton of Sky cameras and tracks and clutter inbetween us and Alice. Next year I'll go to Glasgow instead of AllyPally (if he does it/them).
ps, thanks for your efforts to get our tickets and also for the balloon, which is now in my living room....not sure what to do with it now :bam:

That photo is awesome! But now you know why I gave it to you haha
You used to be able to take the "tie" off them and slowly deflate them for storage. Not sure they still do it the same way though.

The Armadillo doesn't have any barriers in front of the stage (usually) - this year, for the first time (I've noticed, at least), there was a row of bass bins along the front of the stage, and then a rope barrier along the front of them to keep people a foot away.

I was standing at the rope barrier throughout, and Alice kept strutting along on top of the bass bins. When he was in front of me, I could literally and effortlessly have extended my arm and touched him. I didn't though, it might have been a bit weird for all involved :D

This also explains how I ended up going home with three guitar picks in my pocket - lucky catches :-)

Wish I'd been there. Did everybody stand on the seats? Was there a mad rush to the stage?

Yeah, a balloon full of blood would.ve been a bit more dodgy - I had to force it thru the car door, and then I could hardly see out of the back windscreen all the way home to Cheltenham.

It's now a shadow of its former self but at least I can get it thru the door :alice:

Think the stalls were standing, the balconies mostly seated. To be honest, apart from a glance or two, that's not the direction I was facing ;-)

They only let you to the front of stage if you are seated in the first block - and last year it had changed to only the first five rows of the first block - so there was a dash but only from five rows-worth of people.

What amazed, and delighted, me was that there was no jostling or pushing of any kind - I was able to remain comfortably in the same spot throughout.

It was a mad rush for me. A mad rush to stand up and take one step forward to the quaint velvet rope "barrier". ;)

Glasgow was a great show but my personal favourite of the tour was Birmingham.

Not too far to go then Sparky!

Bristol was my favourite show - I got trodden on at Brum. Next year I'd like to do more, if my budget and my family are amenable..............................what the hell, I'll be doing it anyway, regardless!

Just been looking at the chicken killing pics... wish I'd been there to see that! I have family in Glasgow I could possibly have stayed with... ah well.

Bristol was fantastic, probably the closest I've come to a perfect show.

jammy bugger! looked a nice one too. i thought it was a kinda Dark Shadows-looking thing to tie in w/ the film, but looking at the photos i think it was just a dragon head on it?
