Irish shows with Def Leppard
I couldn't believe it when I heard Alice would be playing with Def Leppard in Dublin and Belfast, as it's really not often that he comes here. But then I heard that the Dublin show is on the first day of my exams... so once again, I can't go. I know it wouldn't be a full set, and I'm not even a Def Leppard fan, but I'm still kicking myself since Alice in Ireland is such a rare thing.
Anyone here thinking of going?

Certainly not.... Def Leppard are as interesting as a sack of cat poo
Re: Irish shows with Def Leppard
Have to agree with that, which makes me feel slightly better about not being able to go... it's weird that he should be supporting them anyway and not the other way around. While Heaven Wept wrote:Certainly not.... Def Leppard are as interesting as a sack of cat poo

What amazing news, I've only been waiting for 22 years for Alice to return to Belfast!! I may have to do both Irish shows...

Technically, he's a special guest so he should get a longer slot than a regular opening act would.

Will you be taking a trip over here Andy? If so I'll have a pint of Guinness set up for your arrival!

Thin Lizzy on the Bill as well, I love Dublin the Guinness is great and think I'm going to have to get on a plane again to see Alice Cooper, and Def Leppard have some great songs saw them when they were a support band for AC/DC.
He's an Alice fan is Joe Elliot but an even bigger Mott The Hoople fan he got on stage with them at their reunion gigs and was even playing in a Mott tribute band called Down 'N' Outz recently.
Would sooner see Alice , Leppard and Thin Lizzy than the line up at Donnington though I will be at both I suspect

Don't think that would be wise as I'm depending on the results of those exams to get into college.
Still though... I'm gutted.

I will be there no problem. Was there at Kings Hall Belfast and Dublin 5 odd years ago.
Think Alice should headline but I think Vivian Campbell plays with THIN LIZZY and DEF LEPPARD so it makes sense for Alice to support.
Def Leppard, Alice, Thin Lizzy, Journey and Foreigner all in 5 days and Magnum in April. A rockin good year

For what it's worth, 2 summers ago I saw the Cheap Trick/Poison/Def Leppard show. I thought Leppard did a good set. I enjoyed it.

Yes I saw them around the same time with Whitesnake & Blackstone Cherry. Whitesnake were better but I enjoyed Leppards set.NotSoPerfect wrote:For what it's worth, 2 summers ago I saw the Cheap Trick/Poison/Def Leppard show. I thought Leppard did a good set. I enjoyed it.

About ten years ago I saw DL with Joan Jett. Both acts sounded pretty good overall.Ravenred wrote:Yes I saw them around the same time with Whitesnake & Blackstone Cherry. Re: Irish shows with Def Leppard
Def Leppard are fantastic live.
I just saw the current line-up of Thin Lizzy last Friday and was very impressed with Ricky Warwick (The Almighty) on vocals and Vivian Campbell (Def Leppard) on guitar.
I Think that is a great triple bill...of course, Alice should be headlining that one.
