I just saw the current line-up of Thin Lizzy last Friday and was very impressed with Ricky Warwick (The Almighty) on vocals and Vivian Campbell (Def Leppard) on guitar.

I Think that is a great triple bill...of course, Alice should be headlining that one.
It's one of the reasons i'm going there as well as Donington, this is a great triple bill in one night with a decent indoor sound which though Donington will be great for different reasons, you won't get there.

Just got back from the show. Quite simply, this is the best performance I have ever seen from Alice. Clones was a much welcomed addition!

Great to hear! From the few things I've heard so far, the general consensus seems to be that Def Leppard were "blown off the stage" by Alice last night.

I can't wait for tonight. About how long did Alice play for. I'm hearing maybe an hour. The setlist on setlistfm says only 8 songs but there is a comment on it saying he did more. I'm just hoping thats true. It'll be my first time to see Alice tonight! If it's as good as last nights reports are I'll be happy. :)

Alice was on for an hour and played about 15 songs including great full versions of Brutal Planet, Black Widow and Clones. The hits were there too of course. To say he blew Def Leppard away was an understatement (and I'm a fan of both). Gig ended at midnight as Thin Lizzy had an hour and DL 2 hours. You will not be disappointed!

Brilliant! I was at the Journey/Whitesnake/Def Leppard gig a few years ago. I'm most excited about seeing Alice! Thanks for the info.

The Whitsnake / Def Leppard gigs of 2008 were great!

what a gig, as Wind Up Toy said Alice played for an hour the whole thing lasted 5 hours with Thin Lizzy starting at 7pm and it was worth the money flying out and staying here.
Every band put in a great performance, Lizzy was so good I wondered how anyone was gonna follow as Black Rose drove Dublin wild to finish, but of course Alice did.
Apologies if any of this setlist is in the wrong order but I've had a drink or 2 well maybe 3 or 4 or 5 or 6 or 7!

Musically it was tighter than Theatre of Death the 3 guitars makes it really solid and Steve Hunter was fantastic his guitar on Clones in particular was sensational.
Vincent Price Monologue for Black Widow kicked things into the song
Brutal Planet sounded even better than on that tour
18, Billion Dollar Babies, Is It My Body & No More Mister Nice Guy all played with an authenticity you get with Steve Hunter in the band who held things together like glue.
I'll bite your face off with Alice wearing a jacket with 'new song' on the back and the name of it on his shirt once the jacket had gone. This sounded great rather than the crappy you tube sound clips we've seen and complete with Who Won't Get Fooled Again ending.
Cold Ethyl with mannequin
Feed My Frankenstein with a giant Frankensteins monster strutting about and igor and scientist machine.
Clones was the highlight of the set for me the band moving like robots and Hunter's guitar as I said was something really special.
Poison which sounded the best I've heard it since the Trash tour.
Wicked Young Man and the photographer got spiked
Killer/ Love The Dead execution with Hunter launching into that piano riff on guitar like a demon.
School's Out with Pink Floyd Brick In The Wall reference Alice wearing a black sparkling Irish Leprechaun hat and an encore of Elected with Alice waving the Irish flag

Def Leppard had the best sound of the night which as it was their gig is no surprise and the giant screens and they were really good Vivian Campbell & Phil Collen both played like their was no tomorrow but Alice stole the night against tough competition.

Along with Roger Waters this was the gig of the year so far for me and I can't wait for Donnington where we will get a longer show even if the sound won't be as good.

Welcome 2 My Nightmare with this band should be one special show and wouldn't it be great if the UK got it first in October?!

Thx for the critique Steven!! Even if this was a truncated show,i still can't believe Alice expunged "Wheels " from the setlist.

I estimated 15,000 fans at Belfast by the way, probably three quarters full!
