Keri leaving the band?
Just saw this article: http://www.metalsludge.tv/home/index.ph ... &Itemid=52
Now if that's true it's a bit sad as I really like Keri, but actually I am really really curious.
I've always wanted to hear more personal stuff from him, so this would be a great thing in fact.
And of course I am so curious to know who would replace him if it's true. Anyone we know?
Oh how exciting
It's so weird since I have been thinking about this this morning, wondering if there will be any changes etc.

Wonder what Alice means about being "Comfortable in the band"?
Anything I say or write is my own personal opinion, no matter who agrees or disagrees with me.

Re: Keri leaving the band?
I understand it as, getting a bit "used to be there". It's easy to forget about your own career ideas when you land such a good job.
I am basing this on my own life. I want to carry on with my career as an artist but it's a lot easier and safer to simply stay put and carry on with the day job.
Takes a boot in the behind sometimes to get on.
I actually agree with what Alice said, there is so much potential in Keri it would be too bad to "waste" it. Meaning that he should indeed pursue his own dreams.
Like I said I was thinking about this, this morning on my way to shopping for groceries (as I do ) how it's always a bit sad to see them leave but then you discover new talents. And sometimes "old faces" come back as Damon did.

Can someone cut and paste the interview? Sludge is blocked here at work. Thanks!

Re: Keri leaving the band?
Thanks for posting that. Interesting that Kerri has left. I enjoyed him in Alice's band, but Alice always finds great players so I'm sure whoever the new guy is will be good. Wouldn't it be fun if Roxie came back after, what, 5 years?
I don't think MetalSludge would mind the repost as they are properly credited here.

Wow... but I loved Keri, he's so awesome!
Though, I admit... I wouldn't mind seeing Roxie back in the band!

I have a feeling something has happened, things seem really odd. Hope we get more information soon.

Re: Keri leaving the band?
I first heard it on a facebook page and I couldn't believe it. But Alice seems to give a reason for Keri leaving the band.
But I think the same as Lisa. There must be another reason than that? This reason is a little vague...
But on the other hand it would be interesting to see who's replacing him.

Re: Keri leaving the band?
I'm really saddened by these news. I loved Keri Kelli.
This is interesting, the first time I read this I kinda get the impression that Kelli was feeling too much of the spotlight? Maybe? Alice says "He got to comfortable", Hmmm. I mean it's strange because Kelli actually looked good in the band. I was in love with him the first time I saw him performing with Alice and he seemed enjoying himself with the band. It would be nice to get an oficial statement or something to see what happened. He will be missed.
Now, please bring Roxie back. But not Singer 'cause I want him in KISS

That's going to be one tough wah-wah pedal to fill!
I'm just guessing, but it sounds like "being too comfortable in the band" means something a little more possibly.

Re: Keri leaving the band?
Whatever it is, seems like it must be a fairly recent decision. I just looked back in my email, and found two updates from Keri. As of Feb 4, he was still labeling pictures and merch referring to "Keri Kelli of Alice Cooper." And, in the December email, it states, "and now WE are setting our sights on the 2011 tour."
I'll certainly miss him! Really like the pairing of him and Damon!

Yes, sorry about that I should know better really, was a bit enthusiastic about that. Thanks for deleting my post.Shoesalesman wrote:Too late.RemarkablyInsincere wrote:I don't think MetalSludge would mind the repost as they are properly credited here.
You guys are reading too much in this. Have you ever applied for two jobs at a time? Or while having a job already? There's a moment where you have to make choices and it can happen real fast.
I'll sure miss him if he leaves, it was one of my favourite line-ups ever, but I'd feel selfish to keep him in the band when he has other projects.
And that's how I read Alice's comment.

You're reading into this as much as anyone else. All there is speculation at this point. You guys are reading too much in this. Have you ever applied for two jobs at a time? Or while having a job already? There's a moment where you have to make choices and it can happen real fast.

Re: Keri leaving the band?
Who's the most popular guy in Alice Cooper's band?
The guy who just left.

Re: Keri leaving the band?
Sorry to hear this. I thought he was an excellent fit in the band. Huge amount of energy and swagger and he had the chops to back it up. Just like Roxie. Both of those guys seemed to have an extra gear to kickstart a show. Hope the new guy is in the same vein.
Re: Keri leaving the band?
I'll be sorry to see him go, he's a great guitarist. Hopefully whoever comes in next will be equally great!
