Re: Theatre of Death DVD
Is Ezrin working on the new CD and doing the DVD soundtrack as side project?

Re: Theatre of Death DVD
So true, as promising as it sounds it's from word of mouth. Not that NurseRozetta16 over at NWAC forum is intentionally spreading false information, but it'll be worth keeping in mind that nothing's been officially said.
However, excited by the thought of it's release being soon, mixed by good hands and more news coming... I bet the show would look great on the screen.

Ok, so I could not see the obvious
Thanks for pointing out the link. I have pointed heavily to eldest daughter that the recording would make a wonderful Fathers Day gift...

...And personally, I don't care.

Re: Theatre of Death DVD
it's in production as we speak. i think it's safe to say that we'll all know about it's release status soon enough. really no need to speculate.

Re: Theatre of Death DVD
Awesome, was getting worried if there will ever be a theatre of death dvd.
I can wait for sure, just glad to know there is going to be a release
Will it be out in 2010?

Why, though?! Why is there this extraordinary impatience which amongst some on this board? I can understand people's enthusiasm for it, but some of the posts are very silly. It will be released when those responsible are ready to release it. It will probably be released this year, but maybe not. What difference does it make?! Just because it wasn't released INSTANTLY does not mean there is a delay of any kind.
I would recommend that the moderators delete any further questions or comments about a release date until there is more information available.

I like the way The Who did their Encore series DVDs. You just ordered the DVD after the show. What you saw is what you got, no overdubbing, special effects, and time consuming cosmetic processing.

The question of the year. Considering the chunk of the market blu-ray now owns, it seems stupid not to... especially now being backed by Ezrin's business sense.mestreech wrote:matt,

Re: Theatre of Death DVD
As Jumping Jack mentions, the best concert DVD's tend to be those that are 'basic' ... let the show itself stand out over post-production fancy effects that try to make it more exciting ... like quick sequence of cuts or fanciful camera angles etc.
But I'm all for 'time consuming cosmetic processing' ... if that's another way of saying 'taking the time to make sure it looks great'. Especially for a theatrically-rich show like this, it deserves careful thinking about how it looks on screen...to get the colours right to have that vividness as when you see it live, camera shots at the right places at the right time. I don't particularly think time = more fancy necessarily, but certainly need time to make it so good the editing goes by un-noticed. Not an expert on this at all, but from 3 years with my housemate studying film I was constantly surprised how much technical work is needed behind the most basic film and I'm sure only one of the many things to 'get right' for a successful release, so I'm not particularly wishing they'd hurry up ... tho it's nice to know it's not a shelved project once a show has been recorded (seen that happen before with other bands and was hoping this wouldn't join them in that pile) so thanks Matt for an update.

Exactly.
>tho it's nice to know it's not a shelved project once a show has been recorded
That’s my point, though. There was no reason to think it had been delayed or anything.

reminds me of the time I paid my membership for carsharing only because I had no other way to go see Alice.
I'll make do with the regular version. I hope we demonstrated enough energy then? If not I am willing to help shoot some more footage

Re: Theatre of Death DVD
You can easily get one in US for $100-$200, depending on the model/features. The discs themselves have come WAY down. The 2005 Montreux performance has been as cheap as $14.99!Lisacooper91 wrote:if it's going to be released on BR.. then I MUST buy a BR player!
