I haven't read fan reviews on this show, but I thought it was a bit 'panto', a bit contrived and the overall effect for me is that AC has become a sort of parody of the of the 70's Alice Cooper 'animal'. In fact, I found it all a tad 'cheesy' in all honesty. For example, I was delighted to hear 'From The Inside' live for my first time ever, but thought his mock staggering around to be rather crass and belittling of the potency of the autobiographical lyric.

At least decent props were there that have been absent over the last few years and so it was 'Cooperesque' on that level. There is however, a fine line between theatre and panto that was blurred for me last night.

Still rather enjoyable though and very professional on another level.

Anyone recall what merch was there? Interesting to know now the show is in the UK.

I felt regarding From the Inside that it was strangely placed in the grand scheme of things until I got home from the show and listened to the recording. It seems to make sense now because in Go To Hell he sings "I have gone to hell", so maybe the overacted staggering etc is to emphasise him confronting past demons or something? Just a thought. I must say I didn't find it particularly panto, but then I didn't think of it that way until you mentioned it.
Is someone calling me?
...No
I think I hear a voice
It's outside the door!!

I am going to the Nottingham show tomorrow and have a seat upstairs, so maybe I can see the show in 'all its glory' and appreciate it more. I did miss stuff at Manchester to be fair.

Sorry guys, I'm a little late in moving this to Theatre Of Death section. It's more to do with the tour than general Alice discussion.

Keep rockin'.

Saw a lot more sitting right at the back (very high up), good show - very well executed (excuse the pun)!
