Re: Manchester 24 November
Dave, there is a pub by the Manchester Apollo stage door called the Aspley Cottage where most go before gigs there, great vibe sure they will do food before it gets really busy and would be child friendly with you bringing some of your kids to the show.
Think I have seen some of my best Alice and other gigs there the Mancs know how to make some noise!
Sheffield City Hall and Edinburgh Playhouse my other best Alice gigs.

Re: Manchester 24 November
Just got home from Manchester concert.
What a fantastic night!!!
A brillian set, big, BIG show, and high energy. Alice was in tip top form, amazing all round.
Never been to the Apollo before, great venue, great seats (second row circle) and really good to be able to park right next door.
Nice to meet you Stu!
More considered reflections tomorrow. Still rocking at the moment

Yeah, was good to say hi Dave.
Been home about an hour. Good thing about the Apollo its always easy enough to get away from after the show.
The show.....absolutely awesome. We were on row C right bang centre and had a great view. Alice looked and sounded on top form although the sound started to get a bit distorted upstairs as it seemingly got louder.Have to say it was one of the loudest gigs Ive been to in recent years.
Superb stage show all in all , shame its my only one on this tour.

Re: Manchester 24 November
Got back about an hour ago. Fantastic show, great energy, crowd was good (loudest I've heard at an Alice show). I was about 3 rows of people from the front just left of centre.
New stage show was great. The guillotine was the best I've seen it, the sudden hanging was awesome and the spike death was also really cool.
Can't really pick out any song highlights, they were all superb. Possibly the best Alice show I've seen.

What a show, a visual and musical spectacular. The pace was frantic throughout. You just couldn't take your eyes of it for fear of missing some gag or stunt. It is as though he has crammed everything he has ever done into this one show.
The band was brilliant, the set list spot-on, the crowd in real sing-a-long mood and the man himself on top form.
Superb just doesn't do it justice.

Wow! I 've rarely heard so many raving comments on a tour. I mean fans are usually happy about the shows anyway, but this time it feels a lot more enthusiastic!
I can't wait to see this for myself!

Re: Manchester 24 November
Ok, had more time to think about it all now. I agree with all the above. The noise from the crowd when the lights went down was amazing! I hate the M.E.N, and much prefer a full theatre style venue.
I thought the props where really well done (ladder on Vengence WOW!). The band was really tight and it all came together so well. The musical themes and theatrics matched so well, even her Ladyship said she 'got it all' and it was the best Alice concert she had seen.
Highlights for me where:-
1. From the Inside
2. Guilty
3. Everything else!
I get what Gunner says on the other thread about 'panto', but for where Alice is and where we, (as his audience) are, right now, this was spot on. We all loved every second

Re: Manchester 24 November
I think Steven may have been referring to the Halloween single signed CDs... I'm not sure I saw any at Manchester, but only looked at the merch as they were laying it all out - plan to do my merch buying at Sheffield or Nottingham when it's calmer (seated venues).

25 sheets isn't bad at all when you consider it's 32 bucks online. Gettin' me one of those. Fingers crossed for the signed CD single... if not I guess I can get it online.nightmare 18 wrote:Steven dont know about signed cds but the LOVE IT TO DEATH shirts are £25Steven Allan wrote:How much were the Love it to Death tour shirts and the signed CDs at Manchester then ?

Re: Manchester 24 November
I seem to remember seeing signed ACAS Cds for £25, but don't quote me on it!
Is someone calling me?
...No
I think I hear a voice
It's outside the door!!
