ahhh so i just got an email saying ive been selected to go onstage for the finale tomorrow night in melbourne?
i'm losing my shit here hahaha
has anyone done this????

i can't believe this is gonna happen on a night when im going alone and no one is gonna be there to take pictures.

Congrats! Someone on the NWAC forum did this the other night, and she got to throw out School's Out balloons at the end of the show.

And I agree with Jumping Jack....ask someone around you to snap a picture and email it to you. I've done that to people before when they met members of the band and didn't have a camera.

im gonna try my best to suss out some cool people who i can maybe leave my camera with. i dunno cause i'm doing a meet and greet afterwards and dont think i'd manage to find them after. email might be the way to go. i think nick from this board is going to the melbourne show? i hope he brings a camera

I got to go onstage during Elected twice during the last two tours. It is an amazing experience...I definitely thought it was a once in a lifetime moment, but it turned into twice! Are they determining this stuff before the show date now? Because both times I went up it was Jason or his tech picking me on show day.

The chance to do it is being offered via a 'lottery' system to people who have purchased a VIP package / upgrade. The winner (one per concert, as I understand it) is notified via email the day before the relevant show.

Right, like Sparky says, this is being picked ahead of time. But "Elected" was usually a "day of" pick, unless the band members or crew had friends coming in, or there was a corporate deal, or sometimes the opening act did it.

wow, that is AWESOME & I too am green w/envy. With regards to your email address, you should bring business cards if you have them, or make sure you have a pen & paper handy for someone to record your address. And write theirs down as well, so if for some reason they have it misspelled you can follow up.
