I'm surprised House Of Fire isn't in there after been played recently. Would have liked more from ACAS.
I'd like to get inside your head...and dance!

Re: New Tour Setlist Discussion *SPOILER*
First off, i probably would go to the show even if he would play a reagge version of Schools Out 20 times in a row. And I don't want to whinge about it too much because I'm happy that the Coop still comes out year after year.
But I also have mixed feelings with this setlist. For MY PERSONAL taste there are a few major pros and contras in it.
+ Guilty (one of my top 3 Alice songs)!!
+ Department of Youth - always a good one live
+ he turned around the progression a little bit
+ he got rid of "Feed my Frankenstein" - even if it's well known for the ordinary listener through Waynes World I never liked the live version too much
- just ONE(!) song from the eighties - where's "house of fire"?
- very few surprises
- TOO MUCH weight on the Nightmare album
- of all the great Brutal Planet songs he does my least favourite "Wicked young man"

Glad to see Guilty made the list. Always liked that one and I think it's been awhile since he played it. Love Wicked Young Man. A real hard and heavy gem. As for the rest, to be honest, seen it, done it. But it sounds like they will fit into the new tour very well.

Wicked Young Man is a great song. Saw him in 2006 on the DD tour when he opened with it. I was hoping to get The Little Things tonight but oh well. There are plenty of other gems on that list to keep my attention.

Just 1 song from ACAS, thought there would have been more, but cannot have everything.

Re: New Tour Setlist Discussion *SPOILER*
Wow. I guess that from seeing the set list I can finally give up on ever seeing Chop ChopChop/Gail/ROWL.
If he won't do that on a tour called "Theater of Death", then it's truly doubtful I suppose.
Really hoped the set list would have been drastically changed, but hey, it is what it is.
I really find it a shame he's practically skipping out on fifteen years worth of great songs! Aargh. I've heard all these songs for the past 5-6 years on each tour....argh!! Getting pissy now...better go....

+ From the Inside, Nurse Rozetta, Guilty, Devil's Food, Wicked Young Man & Cold Ethyl (I know he played it recently but I have yet to see it live).
~ Opening and closing with School's Out and the more unusual order of the songs: Have to wait and see how that turns out.
- Too heavy on the '70s stuff, only four songs from the three later decades he's been active. Would've liked to see more ACAS, I personally love the album.

Re: New Tour Setlist Discussion *SPOILER*
I just thought the new setlist would feature more material from ALONG CAME A SPIDER!! ...
I had it in mind that the opening sequence and "I know where you live" would of made a fantastic opening if done live. I agree with some of you seen it.. been there.. done it!! ANYTHING off of Brutal Planet is a PLUS! Guilty is good to hear as well. I could care less about Poison. There is ALOT of good Alice Cooper territory that has been left out...I sure do miss the Brutal Planet/Dragontown tours...even since Dirty Diamonds the setlist havent been as exciting.

The road to hell is littered with nice guys with good intentions.

The setlist could change over time (maybe by the time he hits Canada, maybe not) but looks like there's some good additions. Would love to see Guilty, From The Inside and Wicked Young Man live.
If I may put forward a slice of personal colostomy...

I know what you mean but, (to my way of thinking) 'Schools Out' is his most well known 'signature tune' and promotes the party atmosphere that is an Alice show.
Used in this way, I think it underpins the idea that, 'The evil is for fun, but the rock is serious'.
Aside from that, we can look forward to some 'surprises'?

Or we've become too old to play them

Re: New Tour Setlist Discussion *SPOILER*
Personally, I think some of you are making too big a deal over the setlist. Don't forget that this show has new visuals and is highly theatrical. The setlist can be a lot more fun and have a different feel when you add the new visuals to the songs. I think you guys should give the show more of a chance and wait until you see it before you become too critical just because of the setlist.
And I love the fact that Guilty and Nurse Rozetta have been included. Guilty is one of my all-time fave Alice songs. I think the setlist is pretty good actually.

+ I think Lost in America and Feed my Frankenstein got much needed breaks.
+ Really excited to hear Guilty, From the Inside, and Nurse Rozetta live.
+ Also thrilled to see Wicked Young Man, Go to Hell, Department of Youth, the Awakening, and Devils Food back in the setlist.
- School's Out twice?! I'm going to try to go in with an open mind, but I just don't think I'm going to like this experiment. This takes up a spot where a newer song could have been put in.
- Is there any way we could give the I Love the Dead excerpt a rest?! If he is going to play it, I'd like to see the whole song done, singing around the guillotine or whatever. I just hate the only chorus part of the song EVERY year.
- Not too thrilled about I Never Cry being back, but with the new visual he's using with it, maybe I'll enjoy it more.
Overall, I'm thrilled to see the new show and am pretty pleased with this setlist. Although there wasn't many huge changes, the few new additions and order change seem like it will really liven things up.

Re: New Tour Setlist Discussion *SPOILER*
I agree with Atlanta Santa. Alice usually comes by our area every three years (on average), so hearing a very similar setlist each time would still seem fresh and new. For those wanting No More Mr. Nice Guy anywhere but the second song into the show, you got your wish.Atlanta Santa wrote:First off, i probably would go to the show even if he would play a reagge version of Schools Out 20 times in a row.
