"Theatre of Death"--Columbus, OH--August 1
As this date marks the first of the "Theatre of Death" tour aka the Along Came A Spider tour and it is one I have tickets to, I have to ask that even though BOC (Blue Oyster Cult) is opening for Alice, I wonder will this be the complete show that one would see if Alice was by himself or will it be abbreviated?
So I for once will be surprised at setlists, theatrics, etc.
Will anyone be there? I never really get a chance to talk to any fellow sickthings at these shows and this will not be my 11th show of Alice.

Why do you think BOC's opening would shorten Alice's set? It certainly didn't 2 summers ago when they were the opener. I would suspect it will be the whole thing this time around too.

Don't worry ACAS27, it will be a full Alice set.

Well my only fear was that if this was a co-headlining tour appearance, that it would cut into Alice's set and marking this as the first NEW show of his "Theatre of Death" tour, I didn't want ANYTHING to be sacrificed. This will be a first for me, being at the first show of a brand new tour, and for once, not coming in knowing what the setlist will be or what to expect theatrically, especially if he is going to have several new set pieces and other stuff (new execution???).

Not making Columbus as I couldn't get good seats for that one.... but did land seats for the Clearfield County Fair in Pennsylvania a few days later.
Now, where are the rest of the US dates?

Getting more excited all the time!
Tomorrow my kitchen staff are going to be listening to nonstop Coop all day! (they're all youngsters, so it remains to be seen if that will be a torture or a treat for them.
Looking forward to checking out the Ohio state fair and then relaxing in a jacuzzi suite post show. Woo!

I will be at the show in Columbus as well. I heard it was the second date of the new tour.
One thing about BOC I saw today was they played a 45 minute set when they opened for Steppenwolf this past week. My guess is they will do the same in Columbus and play a short set.
I'm sure we will get the full deal from Alice.
I feel like a kid at Christmas right now. This is going to be amazing!

It's been longer than that since he's been to Pittsburgh, so I get him first.

As far as I am concerned Spicerack, you've never been off the wagon! Nice to hear from you.alienspice wrote:It's been a loooooooooong time (two years? three years?) but I just got tickets for this show.

I'll be the guy in the black and white "Love It To Death" t-shirt. Beer in hand... Sounds random I know but original screen. I'm yet to see one at Cooper gigs.
Who knows....
It's gonna be a great show!

Well this was my second show, having seen the first two shows and it was just as amazing as it was the firs time...still can't believe only one song from ACAS but I tell you, that outfit Cooper wears as he does "Vengeance is Mine," I must have it...got to see two of my buds from the night before so that was cool....
