Presales?
Do you think presales will be limited to OZ or will they also be adopted for dates in the States?
It is fairly common with many bands, particularly those with Fanfire/Signature Networks/Live Nation. Whether for a small fee or free I would favor this to eliminate to problems true fans have in getting the first 5 rows.

Re: Presales?
I don`t know the answer to your question, but just for the record the Australian presale will NOT be run by Fanfire/Signature Networks/Live Nation.
Do I hear a few sighs of relief at that haha?

Re: Presales?
Thanks for the clarification, Jaded. I for one wasn't entirely sure where you stood regarding the aforementioned company.

Re: Presales?
I am no fan of buying merchandise or packages from Fanfire but have done very well with fan club presales for bands with Signature websites including Petty, ZZ, Skynyrd, Who, Styx and Fogerty.
It took me an hour to get 5th row off to the side for Coop in Boston last year and frankly the hour of my time was worth more than the ticket. Presales can be an excellent way to get tix in the hands of the most loyal and long time fans.
Coop needs to take care of his minions. No point in spitting blood on suits buying through brokers now is there?

Re: Presales?
Exactly and Alice is certainly testing his Aussie fans loyalty because tickets go on sale at 2AM in the Eastern states!

Don't actually think that Alice determines what time tickets go on sale.
Anything I say or write is my own personal opinion, no matter who agrees or disagrees with me.
Re: Presales?
Well...you're probably right but you think he may have some say in the pre-sale method...maybe?

It's usually management, touring agents and promoters who deal with that.

Re: Presales?
well i ordered mine a couple of hours ago, does anyone know if we can find out what seats we got?
Re: Presales?
From what I've been told (I've nmot read it personally), it says somewhere on the site that you won`t be told what seats you actually have. This, if I recall, is the same as fanfires presales, and one of the reasons I would't buy from these schemes. I want to know what I'm paying for.

Re: Presales?
Blimey - didn't realise that. I know a couple of people who were stung with the Plat Packs back in 2005 who bought the seats on the understanding it would be "first or second row" and ended up in seventh or eighth. Shortly after they complained, Fanfire changed the wording to guarantee seats "within the first ten rows".
I hope you end up faring well, Master Shake!

Re: Presales?
The 2005 platinum packages had that principal and I have to admit I wondered about camping out for tix when they went public just to have a better chance of getting a closer seat. It worked out beautifully for me with fanfire, but the Winspear Center didn't go through ticketmaster so seats were only at that particular box office, which meant I could get first crack if I went early enough.Si wrote:I want to know what I'm paying for.
If I may put forward a slice of personal colostomy...
Re: Presales?
Well the way I understood it was that the earlier you book the better seats you get. Thats why I stayed up until 2AM to make sure I got good sets. My order number indicated I was the third person to book tickets for the Australian tour so hopefully I will get the seats I stayed up for...

Re: Presales?
Ooh, well......number and time are in your favor. And yeah, I'd think first come first serve, would be better earlier! Good luck!

Re: Presales?
Someone on another Perth based forum got theirs through ticketek because of a Mastercard pre-sale and they know they are in the front row. I can only hope. Even if its only a couple rows back i'll be happy too i guess, but i would still like to know what i paid for
