Awesome news , i was thinking that the coop may not tour oz due to the downturn . If he sells tickets for the palace ill be the fellow sitting at the front door at 5am in the morning , being biggest coop fan in Oz if not the entire world ill be first in line .

If anyone wants to take my crown as the biggest oz coop fan away from me you gotta be first in line for tickets .

I feaked the security guard out last time , he thought i was a ghost . I was sitting in the corner on my kids spiderman fold up seat trying to hide from the wind  No joking

If it comes to it, let's hope the ticket office don't decide to pull a "lottery" trick on those in line, rather than following the good old "first come, first served" tradition.

Don't get me started on the lottery system. Waiting in line four hours to be first in line meant absolutely nothing when Kingsway Ticketmaster decided to do this last tour.

I know sweetie - had you in mind when I said it. :(

Best of luck to everyone trying to get tickets for anything nowadays.

(and that made me seems twice the age I am! LOL!)

You're not alone there! And I've got a couple places near me I'd go wait in line....ifI didn't already know ahead of time they did the lottery deal. At that point, it's not worth the 2 hours of driving (1 each way) to possibly end up farther behind than when i get on ticketbastard at home.

If you'll believe it...there's even a show in Milwaukeethis summer where the lawn seats at the amphitheater are $15....and the fees? $21.70 per ticket. I kid you not!! the FEES are 1.5x the ticket prices! :guntohead:

I'll put me arse in line early for Coop tickets every single time, even if there's a risk of a lottery system. Don't want to find out that's the day they choose not to do it.

Going off-topic a bit here, but the chums and I used to camp overnight in the late 80s for shows; Motley Crue, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, AC/DC... we used to converse with a few brews at someone's house and then go stay overnight in these dirty box office walkways, conversing with a few more beers and some ladies and have a helluva gathering. :drink:

I know some folks knock Constrictor and Raise Your Fist And Yell a bit, but those were some great cassettes to play in the boom-box for that period in time.

Sounds like you s had a great time to  Bet the oldies who walked past thought the hairy ones that lay on the concrete and listen to metal where evil .

Rock on i say , rock on

I agree that RYFY ect where great albums at the time . I hammered them in the day , but these days to my ear they sound very dated . Though i do still give them a spin now and then and enjoy most of the tunes .

Best. Topic. Ever.

That said, MAN do I miss those days....The lottery ruined it. First come first served was the way to be. The deserving fans got the tickets not the five minutes before they go on sale guy gets first in line by having the 50th wrist band :guntohead:

I once stayed awake for 2 days before going to sleep to get tickets for the kiss "REUNION SHOW" I hoped in a friends car and spent 5 am at a Mall with two complete Zombies laughing our asses off having the time of your lives
P.S. What a let down(I was ending a bender when I got the news)

Oh,Jaded, dont be so sad. I believe I have a better chance of winning a lottery jackpot than having a tour date in my area. THAT is what is sad !! :( :(

Forgive my ignorance but will this be the Psycho-Drama tour or ACAS by then?

In theory...the ACAS. I *think* Psycho Drama made it to Oz last time. And what I've heard is that the ACAS show starts when he hits the states....at the beginning of August. Purely assumption, but I'd think the new show! :8):

Good because we got Psycho-Drama TWICE which is cool but something new would be nice.

Is he likely to announce any further dates in Australia do you think?

I would imagine that more dates would show up. Seems a long way to go for just one date. Guess you'll have to sit tight and see!

Just like I'm *still* sitting tight for UK dates... :( ;)
