Whatta week!

It started on Wednesday with the CD signing at Scrape records. I had bought a copy of ACAS a few weeks ago, giving me short line privaliges. Dave and I headed over straight from work and by the time we got there the short line was up the block and the other line was about twice as long. We met up with Paul, our "Alice" from Billion Dollar Babies and our lead player George. They had already been through and Paul got his vinyl B$B signed. Ken the bass was up the line and I only got in a quick hello.

Dave and Paul went into a nearby cafe to wait as you could only get in with the reciept. I talked to the people behind me and generally bounced as I waited my turn. Finally, there he was!

I was so discombobulated that I didn't even get a proper pic taken with him, but I did get one with both of us, thanks to the kind lady at Scrape who was snapping for everyone. I got my CD signed and the back of my biker jacket which is totally Aliced out. The CD was for the Grandkid and I think Alice got a kick out of it when I informed him the the Sicklet's name is Cooper!

I brought along the famous Chicken Feather and I hauled it out, saying "Here's something you haven't seen since the late Seventies!" Renfield was beside Alice and I turned to him and asked if he was Brian and then said that I was zoogirl. He said that he remembered seeing the pics of the feather and that they'd been talking about it and that he could see that it was obviously real. Alice said "Hey, you know I married one of those chickens!" I laughed and said that I did know that. I figured I better let the next people in so I stepped aside and talked to Renfield for a few more minutes about the feather and some of the other souvineers he'd seen in line. Then he said that it was a pleasure to meet me and see the feather and shook my hand, actually giving me the double hand thing. Wow! There has been some less than kind things said about Brian Nelson, but I was completely impressed with him. He was very, very nice.

Dave decided that he'd try to get his guitar signed so we headed over to the long line but they cut it off before he got in. Rats!

Thursday, I went to the concert with my friend Lori, who's actually a Sickthing (Coopusinterruptus) although she never posts. We had second row seats, not that we were in 'em. We hit the rail!

As usual, I jumped straight up and down through the whole show and acted out all the songs. The high point was being teased by Alice, who danged "Diamond" in front of my pleading little fingers, only to fling 'em off to the side, twice! He gave me a lot of direct eye contact, so what the heck. Who needs diamonds when you get pure gold?!

Alice Rocked!!! He sounded great, the energy level was way up and bonus of all bonus, a hanging!

The other bonus? Calico, AND Sonora, AND Sheryl, both nights!!!

Oh, loot? A cross from Jason Hook, a pick from Chuck, a partial strand of "diamonds" and an Alice dollar, over both nights.

Friday rocked just as hard. I made it to the rail again and got lots more eye contact. By the end of the night I was about ruined. I can't talk, my legs hurt and I'm a happy little camper!!!
I'm too young to be this old!

zooey!!!!!!!!!! Long time no speak, girl!!!!!

Glad you had a good time and got to have some stuff signed by Alice. I also recall something about your band B$B possibly hitting Edmonton in the near future. If that's the case, consider me there in the audience.

Alice's page at IMDb has her born in 1993. Scroll halfway down. Not saying the info on this link is right by any means.

Cool vids!!!

I'm just glad Alice didn't have a masked Steven Harper and Jack Layton dukin' it out on stage instead of the American candidates. We have a Canadian Federal election in October and I'd be curious to know how many fans would know our own runners compared to the US hopefuls.

In September??? It's supposed to go up to about 75 degrees Farenheit this week in Toronto. Not exactly "ear muff" weather just yet. It's still pretty warm around the igloos ........
