Saturday's show in Indiana

Post by remarkably insincere2 » Fri Aug 22, 2008 12:47 am

I am going to see Alice's show at a casino on Saturday. The show says 7:00. Does anyone know if there's an opener for this show or others, and what time he will actually hit the stage. It will be a bit of a drive for me, so i'd like to get there in time without waiting around for two hours. I will report back about the show. Hopefully more songs from ACAS will be played.

I know that most casino shows do not have openers, I have been to a few and never has there been an opener. Casinos don't like opening bands, they like people gambling.

Like others have said, odds are good there's not. The band Cinder Road is opening for Alice for about 2 weeks...I *think* their first show with him was Tuesday in Hammond. Their myspace lists dates for the 22nd and the 24th, but not the 23rd.

I did a lot of pictures...some good...some bad....captured a lot of video...haven't tested it yet but did get Vengeance is Mine as well...got a backstage pass and finally went back to meet the man himself!!!

The pic is me and him...he signed my new ACAS t-shirt, some pics, autographed his book "To Chris, Alice "The Spider" Cooper 08"

I can die now...

Well my weekend got better if that was possible after going backstage Friday night and meeting Alice...Saturday I went to the Belterra show and my buddy Brian went and did some gambling while I wondered around and tried to keep busy. I turn a corner and there is Alice, Sheryl, and Sonora all together. Alice sees me and says "Hey Chris" and I run up and introduce myself to Sheryl and Sonora. I got to walk with them a better part of the hotel until they got to the elevator.

The night before when I met Alice, I brought him Golf Monster to sign which he wrote "To Chris, Alice "The Spider" Cooper 08." Also, he was very pleased that I brought him a small gift: 2 big bags of Skittles which he laughed and said, "Chris, you've got and done it now...these won't survive the night...the band and I will have them gone before we leave the parking lot!"

Luckily my picture took with him because when I gave the camera to Renfield to take, it said "low battery" and then died! I had spare batteries but Renfield said in 28 years of doing this, I was the second person that the batteries died right before getting a pic with Alice. LOL.

Today when I was talking to Sheryl, she said, "honey, this is Chris." Alice said, oh I know Chris, his batteries died last night and he got us Skittles."

I feel like I can die now....LOL
