Which ONE ACAS track in your opinion...
captures the mood, essence and overall feel of the proposed storyline?
For me it would have to be "Along Came A Spider" that's why I thought that it should have been the records opener...
Your choice?

I'll Still be There.
The album can be divided into two categories:
Tongue in Cheek/Humor
I Know Where You Live
Wake the Dead
Feminine Side
Wrapped in Silk
Hungry
The One that Got Away
Serious/Dark
Vengeance
Catch Me
Killed By Love
Salvation
I Am The Spider
(I'll Still Be There)
(Shadow of Yourself)
The serious/dark songs for me are the better parts of the album, which is why I argue so strongly that the bonus tracks should have stayed on the album.

Shadow of Yourself is a favorite of mine.
Alice Cooper is very smart because his decision to make this album has put him back on the charts and all the naysayers lose.
I listen to the album every day....and love it. Undedicated people have to "wait for another album", especially when the new one is right in front of them.
3 years of sadness for them....wahhhh!

You have to be older than 35 to really understand...

Oh, Parish....you haven't be paying attention...I am 38 years old. I am dedicated....
NSP, of course there is a certain level of speculation on my part....because I expect a sequel....very soon. There were plenty of songs written....and if you listen to I Am The Spider....couldn't the lyrics be the conversation between The Therapist/Spider and her captured/framed patient? "
but, if the "touring schedule" interrupts....it may be longer.
Undedicated others may be disappointed with that, too....What about the album after that? Maybe they should just burn their Alice Cooper albums, so they won't be disappointed again.
I Love ACAS because it is brilliant.

Yeah, I'd have to say that the album is just 'there'. Nothing overly fancy about it. I actually preferred the Eyes and DD. Here's hoping that with all of the songs that were written recently then there'll be another album in a year or so. The worry is, were these 11 songs the best of the bunch?Parish wrote:I hear that...I played the CD again this morning on the way into work after taking a few days off from it. Does anyone know how many songs were recorded?

what is it exactly that a person under 35 can't understand any better then a person over 35?
What is this shred of information? Before we can say that a certain group of people can't/don't understand, the question must be asked 'what is it that this certain group of people can't understand'?
is it that they don't or can't understand the 'true' Alice Cooper? i would beg to differ, but i think that people in their 50s who liked the original ACG could say the same of the 35 year olds who didn't come around till after the original ACG had broke up. Many people believe when Alice went solo he lost the plot. i mean he went from the impromptu, almost anything goes stage show of the ACG years and created a sleek, theatrical show that he's had since 1975. sure, he adds new things to the shows today, but he had used the guillotine for how long before going back to the gallows these last two years? the shows really aren't all that shocking, because people go to see him knowing what his show primarily consists of.
you can't make the argument that he's always been more creative then he was on this album. his most creative years were the early 80s, but that didn't fly over very well. his 80s albums ahd some great tunes, but they were filled with half-assed hair metal filler. he made two industrial influenced metal albums that came out at the turn of the century...that wasn't creative or new...industrial metal was pretty much a has-been style by that time unless you were marilyn manson or NIN. Alice admitted that 'Eyes' was styled to be along the lines of the neo-garage rock movements (Many of those songs were Roxie solo songs that he brought to Alice when he found out the project was going to be in that vein), and the DD songs primarily sounded like Rolling Stones songs except for a few more Roxie songs that would've fit in with Eyes. it can't be the lyrics either, because since the 80s his albums have all had, among the great songs, songs filled with lyrics that were cheesy as hell also.
so my question is 'what do people under 35 not understand?'
