Question to Steven-how do you access the world charts? (thanks for posting)

It's nice to see that Alice is doing so well this time around. His hard work through this decade seems to finally be paying off.

Go Coop!!

i had a dream i asked Alice how the album was going at a certain CD store in some shopping centre, it was like he was working there. He was putting up a giant CD cover on the roof and i so wanted it.
He said it was going good anyway if anybody really cared :/

With the downloading of music nowadays, sales figures are not going to be the same anyways.

Alice is now out of the top 75 in the UK charts.

That is not good at all,but I guess we could expect it.
Guess it will drop of most of the charts around the globe this week.Sad but true!
At least it got a decent first week compared to the last couple of albums, but not m uch more....
Without a single played on the radio it didn`t have much chance... ::((:

But isn't that what A MichaelUK was saying before? That charts don't matter that much anymore because the music industry has changed so much? I think everyone should be glad that Alice still tours every year unlike some of his contemporaries and fans should just enjoy the shows.

Yes, and the "products" being sold today are the concert tickets and merchandise like t-shirts, etc.

In the UK Rock Chart ACAS is in at #9 this week.

It debuted at # 3 last week.

COuldn't get the rankings last week as there were tech difficulties with the Radio 1 website or something like that.

I was in HMV Oxford St today - (the one opposite Poland St/ near tottenham court road) no ACAS in sight - sold out. Some HMV girl came up to me and asked me if I needed any help. I said no, but Alice does. Where the h*ll is the new CD? Poor girl got an earful!

Hows he gonna stay in the charts if it aint in the store?

Wow.....it's nice to hear about all these stores selling out...but it seems my local Best Buy has hardly sold any! They still had just as many (about 12) on Saturday as they did when I bought it on release day!

It is nice to hear of the album being sold out, but it would also be nice to know how many copies they had to start with... (at risk of sounding pessimistic).

I found that ACAS and other Alice stuff is sometimes found in the heavy metal section in HMV.

well now we are hitting johnny ramones beliefs on how a band works.release an album to show you are still out there and doing something new. and tour like hell to make the bucks via concert sales and merchandise.

ACAS is # 53 in the Billboard Top 200.

He's also # 6 in Billboard's Top Independant Albums. I think this isn't too bad considering his is the only album in this category that has only been on for 1 week.

I checked there today that appears to be last weeks chart as it shows ACAS as being on the chart for 1 week. Still waiting to hear this weeks charts and hoping someone will post them :)
