Alice back on the charts!

Post by steven » Tue Aug 05, 2008 3:02 pm

Report from Norway:
They have the official Norwegian top 40 album charts in todays newspaper.I had been waiting for this all week.
I started on top and read slowly down the list. Was Alice going to chart this time?
I didn`t expect much,but still hoped...
Did he?
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Alice reached number 33 on the charts.
This is the first album to reach the charts in Norway since TLT in 1994.
For each new album since 2000 I have been waiting to see Alice name on the list, but it never happened.Well today it did.
It was just awsome to see his name in the top 40.
Of course it would be greate to see it in the top 10,but I don`t think that is realistic.
Even if it wasn`t higher than 33 I am very happy with this.
Back off preacher I don`care if it`s sunday.......

wow, i didn't think i could get further than 100 in uk, specially as the album isn't all that good, but seeing alice high in the charts for anything but poison/trash is great!

I thought it would go top 40 uk and top60 US(remains to be seen)...its interesting how we all differ...I think this album, story and cocept is brilliant...there's a bit of cheese on the top but then its all a rock fantasy...await further good chart news

First bad chart news.It didn`t reach the US billboard top 100 list :(

We had Dirty Diamonds on #169 last time.Guess ACAS will bee between 150-101.
I really hoped for a top 100 placing, but I guess the US is a difficult marked for Alice.

As pointed out in the other thread, the Billboard numbers for last week haven't been revealed yet! No need to panic.

Newbury Comics is a New England based chain. I went to my store today to pick up my copy of the vinyl. Along Came A Spider was on display as #10 of their top 30 selling CDs. Good news, even if it is just New England.

It's not in the Top 50 as of right now. Hits Daily Double just compiled the Top 50, no Alice. The 50th place album had 10,000 records sold.

#31 Uk is where BP ended up back in 2000 if my memory serves me right. Another album more suited to the younger fans? Excellant
