Ozzy?
What song did Ozzy play on? Did he? I heard he did harmonica and I figured that was him on Wake the Dead.
But I just got the CD and I dont see him in the credits for any song.
Unless I overlooked... 10 times.

Well on the song credits it doesn't give any mention of anyone playing harmonica.....so, maybe Ozzy didn't want credit for it. I mean when ever he get credit for writing song post Black Sabbath he's put as Ozzy, not John, from what I've seen.

I think you're hearing things.Erickana wrote:i think you can hear his voice during the song
For what it's worth, it's on good authority that they wanted the Ozzy appearance to be on the quiet side even before the album was even out, this could be why you see no mention in the album packaging. I know nothing more than that so don't ask me why, but just throwing that in there for consideration.

This is actually addressed here: http://www.sickthingsuk.co.uk/interview ... ly2008.php
SickthingsUK: Slash has guested with Alice before, as has Ozzy (on 'Hey Stoopid') but how did Ozzy come to be playing Harmonica on 'Wake The Dead', when Alice also plays harmonica and could have done it?
Greg Hampton: Danny and Oz originally were messing with the idea a few years ago...
SickthingsUK: What was Ozzy's input in writing 'Wake The Dead'?
Greg Hampton: The original idea that Danny and Ozzy was what we built it from... Then Alice took it and ran with it. We just had to hold on.... ALICE moves pretty quickly when he is inspired and in ''the moment'.' Bernard Fowler (Rolling Stones) is a mutual friend of Danny and mine going back many many years so he started getting involved on vocal arrangements and background vocals and really added a lot.

Erickana, allthough the backing vocals do sound like Ozzy, as he isn't credited we can only assume that Bernard Fowler and Greg Hampton were influenced by Ozzy's demo of the song, as I don't know why Ozzy or Alice would want to keep an appearance by John Osbourne quiet?WickedYoungMan wrote:I think you're hearing things.Erickana wrote:i think you can hear his voice during the song

Lead guitar on Social Debris. Album on iTunes, Amazon & Spotify, title track featured on TV
I assumed that Ozzy did the Harmonica back when he And Saber worked on the song, and Saber kept it, but as it's so minor they simply gave him a writing credit for his input rather then anything else.
It DID also cross my mind that the harmonica bit could have been a small sample from the old Sabbath track 'The Wizard' as they sound similar, but I haven`t had time to check it out.
