Maybe they are happy with the albums presale numbers? Or not? Probably figure people are already listening to it anyway.

Wouldn't it be great if a group made a fake album and let it leak out and then when the real album came out the music was totally different. Ha Ha, that way you would get twice as much music.

I feel very dirty, but I am listening to the songs in drips and drabs.
Wake the Dead is incredibly groovy. I'm really liking what I'm hearing so far.

Alice heard Shoey had been holding out on listening to it so he made it officially available for listening.

Ha! There's lots of people in this camp, not just me.

And no, I'm not giving in until the WHOLE CD package, including artwork and insert photos, is in my hands in less than two weeks now, no matter if Alice's myspace page has the songs dangling there or not. The candle still burns... just have to keep my face away from the flame now, that's all. ;)

I'll stick with my old school ways and wait another 12 days. Maybe I'll be the last person on Earth to listen to it and I can get the final word on worthiness.

Alice is doing what alot of artist are doing nowdays before the official release date by letting people stream the album. Maybe help sales? Could as look at the new Motley Cure and Judas Priest. Those were both available for streaming about a week or two before the release date and are selling very well. Hope it works for Alice too

I think maybe they'd rather people hear the album legally than illegally.

:nono: I will not listen to it. I stay out from Myspace. I want to save some excitement for a release date which is 28th July here in Finland. I have already heard three entire songs I am the spider, Killed by love and Vengeance is mine. I don't want to know how the remaining eight songs sound before they are officially released. Enough tasters is enough tasters.

I have just skimmed through it.....I really hate listening to music through my computer. So, I listened to enough to make a preliminary judgement....not a final one.

This should be no surprise to anyone, not if you have read my posts.....

DUH! I LOVE IT.

My first impression is----1960's acid rock. If you have heard The Pretty Things' S.F. Sorrow---listen to that concept album (by the way, the FIRST one--before Alice, before The Who) and you will get what I am saying.

Now, I will wait until the album comes out....for a minute there, I thought Alice might have made a bad album.....silly me, why should I doubt Alice???

Ah, a reason to be thankful my PC won't open Myspace. No temptation to peek! I felt bad listening to the 30 sec samples.

Love that album and am a huge fan of acid rock, but don't quite get the comparison.

Nah, I'm with you and Shoey. I am waiting. I want to hold the cd jewel case and leaf through the booklet. A glass of red wine on the side and all that. We're just too old fashioned I guess.

Besides if my local supermarket plays along I only have to wait 7 days! ;)

Does this mean you can get the whole album for free legally? Won't that affect the sales. Surely some people will simply download it and not buy it? :/
