AmazonUS now has the album up for Pre-order.
Please use this link:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... hingsuk-20

No sign oif the Vinyl version yet in the US (and Eyes wasn't released on vinyl in the US at all).

The UK has sold 49 copies so far. Can the USA do better?

Rather steep pre-order price if you ask me. I thought normal prices were in the $13 -15 range. Or am i just out of touch with retail pricing these days?

I just placed my order for the vinyl through this site :)....of course I guess this is a stupid question, but a vinyl ordered from the UK, can play on a USA record player right? I know I am going to be called stupid for asking but just in case...

Meanwhile, I will be buying the cd the first day it comes out hopefully from Best Buy or something like that...

where can you view how many have been ordered so far on amazon? I didn't see where that was........
I'm sure that the vinyl will play universally.I've only heard of dvd players having different regions.but, that's a 90%,I could be wrong.

1. Yes, of course UK vinyl can play on a US deck. They are exactly the same (unlike video).

2. You can`t see the figures. Only I can as I'm the owner of the site affliated with Amazon. I get to see each update the following day, ie anything bought today, I will see tomorrow.

3. Regards the pre-order price, can`t say whether it's high or not (I'm in the UK so obviously you'll be getting it cheaper then us anyway!!) but it's worth mentioning that, as I understand it, if Amazon reduces the price between now and the release date, you will pay the LOWER amount automatically. If it goes up however, you will pay the price your preiordered it at. Can't say fairer then that really.
So basically you can`t lose with regards price changes before the release date.

Also something Jaded pointed out. They do free shipping with orders over about £25 (I think), so if you buy the CD, and add a cheap item to put you over the $25 (maybe one of the reussues that comes out around the same time), you will actually save a bit over all as you won't have to pay any postage. If that makes sense. Or to put it another way, you'll get one of the items much cheaper :)

Yeah it does seem a bit up there. Eeek. However, I think this will probably drop a little as time goes before so be checking for discounts in the days or weeks to come.

I ordered ACAS and PFY.

The $17.99 is the list price and if Amazon drops the price before it comes out you will pay the lower price.

At least 2 of those were ordered by someone from the US, so it doesn't all count! ;)

and you might get more from us if the vinyl is not released here.

Si,

I have always wondered. CD Club sales like BMG do not count in a band's sales figures. Does ordering off of Amazon?

Yes, it does. He said so in the other order thread. :)

It has currently gone down to $13.99. Does anyone know if preorder numbers are included in the first week sales figures?

I would imagine so, Sammy. Amazon bill people who have pre-ordered an item as soon as it's available for sale so surely any pre-orders would go down as "x" number of sales in that first week. Or have I completely missed what you were asking? :/

I placed a US order, but for some reason it wouldn't let me combine the order with my previous RS SAL Blu-Ray pre-order. Anyone know why? I'd like to save the doubleshipping if possible. Both have the same pre-order release date.
