But some of them have bits cut out of them, and the drum solo is cut, to make it fit on one disc.
Thats always a plus in my eyes.

Great review. I'm really looking forward to getting this!
Was really glad to hear the two guitarists cut through well.
And I agree with Dragonlady. Playing spot the Sickthing will be an interesting bonus.

wrong. it states the canada RELEASE date is 10/5.WickedYoungMan wrote:Also, the spash page on AliceCooper.com implies that the U.S. & Canadian release date is Sept 28, but if you click on the link for more info it still says that the Canadian pre-order date is October 5th?

I may not get to see it before I leave for London either. But seeing as I'm travelling to London to see the show live, I decided to get over it.

Re: Theatre of Death DVD
That goes without saying.
I usually prefer the expectation to the actual thing I am expecting. At x-mas, while my mum alway wants to open presents immediately I like to stretch it out and wait until after eating.
I'm really glad the DVD didn't come out too soon, it's going to be even more special for all the waiting and expecting
Despite my "whining" I think it would be really cool to come home from the Roundhouse shows still feeling high from all the fun and make it last a little longer by reminiscing about the show a year before.
What if someone had a laptop at the hotel and we'd watch the DVD all together? Might have to do it on both nights as not all of us can be there both nights.

Re: Theatre of Death DVD
Got the DVD today and just watched it.
I'll start off saying it is a little tamer than expected but hey I'm not complaining. I'm holding the Theatre Of Death show in my hand. What is there to be disappointed about. A few things I noticed is it was doctored quite a bit and I would have preferred to have Alice's voice a little lower in the mix and bring the guitars up. It needs more bass in the mix. Another thing to me is the show itself seemed a little sterile with the venue and all but I saw Alice twice on the tour and the first time was sort of the same way. The second time I saw him it was over the top and way more electric. It is definitely a keeper and I'm sure I'll grow to like it even more as it over and over. I was disappointed that Elected wasn't on it as that was one of the highlights of the two shows I saw.
Enjoy it everyone. I picked it apart a little so don't flame me please. These are just my initial thoughts after first view.
Alice is the master and this is well worth every penny just to have. Off to watch it again shortly.

i'm not sure why you would think elected would be on it? this was filmed last year, and elected wasn't played last year.Devils Food wrote:I was disappointed that Elected wasn't on it as that was one of the highlights of the two shows I saw.

I thought he did Elected back in 2009 when I first saw the tour but looking back at the set list you are right.mattcoddington wrote:i'm not sure why you would think elected would be on it? this was filmed last year, and elected wasn't played last year.Devils Food wrote:I was disappointed that Elected wasn't on it as that was one of the highlights of the two shows I saw.

Watched it again.
Good stuff folks.
Everyone will be happy for the most part.
Tiffany is great!!!!
From the Inside stands out as well as the Black Widow jam.. Great footage stage wise. Great close ups on Kerri... He has the chops. Chuck rules
BDB's is wonderful... I'm Eighteen is fun... Be my Lover.
Jimmy Degrasso doesn't catch the hat.
This thing will satisfy the die hard palette!

Re: Theatre of Death DVD
I've downloaded it on iTunes, will get the DVD eventually. The sound is absolutely terrific and I definitely recommend it for anyone who wants something to listen to on their iPod. Interesting some of the small things you can hear professionally that may get drowned out at a concert, and certainly not featured in amature YouTube videos.

Or just pause it?
Re: Theatre of Death DVD
Got my copy and I love it.
Australian dvd version is just that; no cd, no booklet/poster, nothing but the disc.
The cd back cover has the same info as the dvd back cover, stating a 91 minute running time. That is clearly a mistake.
