Re: Theatre of Death DVD
The page for it on Amazon UK doesn't give any info about the region coding. I had presumed it would be region 1 for the USA release.

Re: Theatre of Death DVD
I think a live shot would have been cool. However, if they wanted to go with a non-live photo then they could have used the curtain graphic. I feel it's a bit more appropriate to the show than the ACAS imagery (even though there is no 'saw' in the show).mattcoddington wrote:i wanted to put a live photo on the cover, but i was over-ruled. the front cover is the same photo used for the tour poster ad mat, so they went with it to be consistent. i think the whole 'acas' thing is done with and i would rather see tod photos. i fought. i lost.

I think the cover looks tacky with that "Live at Hammersmith 2009" typeface.

Re: Theatre of Death DVD
It's not so much an issue of region coding. The US version will be NTSC while the UK will be Pal.sparkinthedark wrote:The page for it on Amazon UK doesn't give any info about the region coding. I had presumed it would be region 1 for the USA release.
To be honst it's annoying to me as I can`t put up a STUK amazon link for people to order it!!

Re: Theatre of Death DVD
Do we know that this will be released in the UK, and not a US only thing? (or is this 'where is it on Amazon UK' thing pretty much the same question?).

Re: Theatre of Death DVD
Yes, thay can, and so can Computer DVD drives.
PAL is better resolution then NTSC and the native format for Europe, and I can`t see this not being released in the UK/Europe.
No point ordering it from the US in a foreign format unless there's no choice.
Would be nice to have the link up for pre-orders though.

Re: Theatre of Death DVD
although pal is higher resolution, it depends on what format the video is sourced for. if it's sourced for ntsc, then you won't gain quality if it's converted to pal.Si wrote:Yes, thay can, and so can Computer DVD drives.

we'll just have to see if wb has a foreign distributor lined up. otherwise, it will only be available as an import from bigger pictures.

Re: Theatre of Death DVD
A friend of mine said the DVD release in Europe will be in November...
Can someone confirm this? (Or even better: just tell me that it isn't true? )

It will be released on either 25 October (or maybe 28 October), according to what I've been told.

Re: Theatre of Death DVD
This is all very confusing and annoying.
If it really comes out much later in Europe, we'll have to look out for spoilers for ages. Or give in and order the US thing. And still have to wait for ages, it usually takes weeks for stuff to ship.
Good thing I read this so I won't be too dissapointed. I'll just keep busy with other things until then (and avoid the web so I don't read any spoilers )

Re: Theatre of Death DVD
True! But I'd like to be surprised a little. See for myself who's shown when and such... especially one moment that I wonder about very much and I'd like to find out for myself if it made the video etc... < this forum is missing an *innocent smile* emoticon.sparkinthedark wrote:Dragonlady wrote:If it really comes out much later in Europe, we'll have to look out for spoilers for ages.

Well, then that's easy. Just don't click on any links for it or go looking on YouTube.
