If he really wanted to record this, it should have been the B-side to Don't Give Up

The most straightforward cover since Pretty Ballerina?

I found it a little bit catchy, in an unwelcome No More Love at Your Convenience way - it got in my head but I didn't enjoy it being there.

I doubt I'll listen to it again, other than on the first play of the new album, which I am not remotely excited about.

This might be the worst song to appear on an AC record. Even if the original songs on this album end up being good (and I have faith because I do like Don't Give Up), when am I ever going to want to spin it with how lame the opening to this album is?

As I don't know the original I think this is a nice tune but all the covers have to stop.
Please a new Alice album but I'm afraid even that don't get me excited anymore.
I'm glad there is some more new music but I hardly listen to it. For me the music magic has gone.

It hasn't grabbed me so far, but I have only listened to it through my phone. Will listen to it properly after work. Sounds very beatlesque!

I never heard the original until after I heard this, but I love this song.

I like this song, too. I must say that hearing it makes me wish that they'd do Lady Gaga's Born This Way. I'm not big on LG at all, but what a great Alice Cooper song.

I just heard it. I love the new song...it reminds me of "Because".....for the reason that the lyrics seem innocent....but, when Alice uses them..the lyrics and song become sick & twisted...I will be smiling for the rest of the day.

I have never heard of Outrageous Cherry...now, I can learn about them and their music.

Thank you, Alice.

Assume you know, but they HAVE done that song, at the Bonaroo festival.

I like this song; it reminds me of the band Jellyfish (Eric Dover played guitar and keyboards when Jellyfish played live) and surprisingly the lyric video works, I have noticed on a few video releases recently this style of animation being used. For me, it cheers me up, especially living in this less than happy times!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZWPAUim ... e=emb_logo I love this live version of Born This Way. A studio version would be excellent.

Back on topic Breadcrumbs has grown on me and I like this second single. Rock N Roll seemed very generic but this one has a different feel to it. One thing everyone can agree on is that Alice has varied his sound over the years so it should be no real surprise.

Judging by the reactions here I think it is a real surprise.

Does anyone know if this will be a "real " single pressed as a 45?

It will be interesting to see the line up on this one. Certainly nothing for Nita to do on it.
This has bothered me for a long time. Alice has one of the best rock bands out there and he just ignores them when it comes to new material. IMO they could put a stamp all their own on these covers and make them interesting. These covers lack any swagger or attitude. Might has well just go down to the karaoke bar.

Wondering what Padre Sliprat and Mr Barlowe think of this one.

Really liking this now. Not at all the Alice I thought I knew but that’s fine. The fact it is so different has raised my enthusiasm for the album now so I’m grateful for that.

Starting to feel like it could be an album of three parts. Proper Alice ( Don’t Give Up), surprise Alice (Your Love..) and nostalgic Alice, the one I feel nothing for (Rock and Roll and most of Breadcrumbs).

Is it just me or do some of the lyrics sound clunky when paired with the music? Kind of ruined the flow for me. I do think it is Alice's sense of humor, but at the same time, I feel like it could've been worked out better.

Wow WTF!? Did I just hear.... I can hear the Alice in the lyrics but the delivery is off.

I wish Alice would put in some effort musically . We can all spout off dozens of songs with great lyrics but songs with great music are fewer than a handful and even those aren't really great. Paranormal had so little material that was worth while and it's still so all over the board.

Alice has always been my favorite but he's really loosening his grip on me lately.
