Alice's grey hair

Post by Paul » Thu Nov 19, 2020 7:09 pm

I see that Alice has not been dyeing his hair during lockdown. His grey roots are now about 6 inches long. I am hoping he grows the black hair out and go totally grey. He's in his 70s and just like McCartney I think he would look better with his natural coloured hair rather than the false looking jet black hair. I know he is playing the Alice character, but why can't 'Alice' have grey hair?

I know this is a trivial subject but what does anyone else think? Black or natural?

I think he should go two tone. The top half black and the second half gray and dye the Zorro mustache red.

I'm not sure when you last saw Alice 'live' but a recent picture on social media of him in a restaurant with Sheryl shows him with newly dyed black hair.

Alice has said he's been dying his hair since the 1980s. I think he said he went gray before he hit 40.

Its my opinion that the character would look more sinister as with wild unmanaged gray hair.....or pulled up in a bun like Norman Bates mother. crazy old man/lady with a hatchet

Dyed long black hair on anyo man in their 60's let alone 70's looks pretty ridiculous though not as bad as long grey hair. MB hair ( not a personal attack ) looks dreadful long and grey. He would look so much younger with a decent hair cut. Neal's is starting to look a bit old ladyish while Dennis manages to pull it off.

keep it black I say :)

Lemmy was asked why he dyed his hair: "otherwise I look like Willie Nelson!"

I cannot think about Zorro (spanish word for fox as I recently learned!) without seeing the mask..
I cannot think about the character Alice with grey hair....
so if Alice can keep his image intact by dying his hair, why not ?
you really wouldn't understand..

The epitome of a rock star growing old gracefully and tastefully is Ian Gillan.

In case you haven't seen the grey hair.

This is a great interview though nearly all of the comments are about the hair!

It looks to me like he is growing it out and going to keep the gray.

I wonder if it has anything to do with transitioning to a different phase of his career.

Touring won't happen at least until 2022 by the time it all shakes out and by that time he may have moved into a new phase.

I can see him getting very active in the golf scene...product endorsements...with Shep's involvement with chefs etc and the foray into hot sauces...this could also be a new angle being thought of.

I can see Alice playing Julia Child on QVC selling a food related product line.

But most of all promoting his life's work. I can see a few more one offs with the original band..the hv..and the occasional live solo performance but it's my gut feeling the constant touring was killed by Covid.

I think he will continue to record and give us new music. But Covid has changed everything and when its over the world we once knew will be a memory. I see live streaming events as the revenue source for a long time to come.

As I posted previously, Alice has dyed his hair again since that video was shot. I can’t see him ever not doing that when going out in public.

At the Paranormal launch in London Alice took the piss out of me for my hair... saying something like "I've been dying my hair black for years, but why did you dye yours grey?"
