Love Transfusion
I have always been curious how far into the process Alice got with Love Transfusion. Was it basically a final product that was given to Iggy to just re-dub vocals, or is there some differences from Alice version?
Re: Love Transfusion
first time I hear this song : sometimes you'd think Alice sings it... Something that could easily have been on Trash..

Yea, it was definitely an Alice and Desmond Child product for Trash. I think Alice did backing vocals on the chorus, but Iggy does indeed sound a lot like Alice at times throughout the song.patrick wrote: ↑Fri May 22, 2020 6:37 pmfirst time I hear this song : sometimes you'd think Alice sings it... Pretty awful. The movie wasn't any good either.

I agree & I love Bad Horror movies (good ones too!)
The song was defiantly a "throw away" recast.
The Soundtrack is the movies' only saving grace & that ain't saying much.

I guess that was what I was trying to get at. I have never understood why it ended up with Iggy. Did he try to add something to it to make it salvageable? Or is it pretty much the way Alice and Desmond created it with Iggy’s vocals added to the already finished product? I’m not a fan of Trash, and it is noticeably cut from the same cloth as everything else Desmond put his hands on with Alice.
I was just watching Shocker which I had not seen since I was young, and when I heard the song, it sparked some curiosity since I’ve never heard the Alice demo.
And yes, the movie is quite terrible to say the least.

I think Craven was hoping for Horace Pinker to kick off another franchise like Freddy Krueger. I've not heard the demo. Maybe someone could confirm if it's the same backing track or not. I'm sure Iggy did the vocal in a few hours tops and just took the cheque.
Re: Love Transfusion
To hear Iggy Pop and Desmond Child in the same sentence is quite disturbing in an awful way.

Does this sum up the feeling well enough?
If they make a deluxe edition, maybe it will have everything from the sessions, and they can call it the “Welcome To Your Nightmare” edition.

I think shocker is good fun film , objectively bad, but good fun.
I like the soundtrack, but i do like my 80s rock/metal so that probably explains it. I dont mind the track, not top tier but its pretty cool. Would be nice to hear Alice's version of it one day.
Maybe on a deluxe reissue ......oh no wait, we are not allowed those
