One of the more odd combos from solo Alice.

RIP Betty :(
I knew I recognized the name when it was announced.
But, I didn't make the connection because the articles I saw
didn't include working with AC. I really like "No Tricks". :alice:
Her other songs I vaguely remember.
That was so long ago...

learned from youtube it was the b-side of HYGSMN. and on the same youtube the albumcover is the FTI cover.
wonder why it didn't make it to be on the album...

All a matter of where it would fit I guess. I suspect plenty of people would happily substitute it for Millie and Billie.

Too many ballads/slow songs I think I read.

It does have a different vibe than the other stuff on FTI. A lot more earthy. That said it's not really the type of Alice Cooper song I like to hear.

despite is musical style the lyrical depravity/hilarity always makes me like it. Just makes me chuckle.
Was never a huge fan of no tricks but its decent enough. Possibly a bit too different for the album.
Its rare for alice to do "new tracks" as b-sides, i can only think of this and hey stoopid and the awesome it rained all night. (not sure if slick black limo flexi/ for Britain only single count or not)
He never even used look at you over there, ripping the sawdust, despite it being finished and very nearly on the album!
dito with hard rock summer, a no brainer b-side but never happened.(well technically it should have replaced thrill my gorilla, but who's counting)

I doubt Alice had any say what tracks were used as singles B sides.

I like No Tricks. Is it any 'darker' or that different to Jackknife Johnny? I bought How You Gonna See Me Now? just for No Tricks. And as it was included on The Life and Crimes... boxset I am happy to have it on CD.

The old Alice has no say thing again! Why would the label not confer with the artist on this. Him not caring what was on the b side is probably more accurate.

I like this song a lot. Good lyrics and great performances by both vocalists. Truthfully, I like this song more than any of the songs that actually made it on to FTI.
