Thinking this might be very metal judging by the lyrics. Written in quarantine no doubt.

When I first saw those lyrics, I was reminded of No Baloney Homosapiens for some reason, probably the "blood and guts human race" bit.

I'd like to see a video where everyone was wearing the Bill Crowe mask,with Bill himself appearing briefly near the end.

you're right about the homosapiens bit, and "hanging by a thread" reminds of The Little Things

I just hope the song is worth waiting for because we'll enjoy it one way or another.

Id be amazed if it went viral...sadly as bad as it sounds this is Alice not Dua Lipa...But its new music ahead of the album, will be good i'm sure, might never see a stage but at least he is still giving us music, and that's the key i think. Just a thought but like the last stage show and set list, this Alice rewarding his die hards during lockdown wi new music, not meant to go viral?

Im sure he would like it to go viral. He has been busy during the lockdown so it's logical he would record something. A message to the world that will never hear it.

not used to alice "speaking" in song but its pretty cool. Not sure it is "Detroit" sound but its cool either way, is this off the album or something separate?

I would guess this won't be part of the album, at least in this form. It's a little too "time-specific" to fit on such an album which will be around forever, but who knows.
Maybe could be included as a bonus track or something?

Sounds like "Pick Up The Bones".

The song itself is awesome. A little simple but the melodies work so well. The talking is bad though, and definitely ruins the song. It seems like it could be pretty easily reworked to remove those and be put on an album, but with the voiceovers, it definitely will get way fewer listens than without them.

Eh, I like it for what it is. I did wonder how the lyrics would flow without sounding so clumsy, but didn't think of a conversational sort of delivery. Not unlike "Sanctuary" or "I'm Alive" (to a lesser extent). Instrumentally reminds me of "Pick Up the Bones" (as was already mentioned).

I think the talking makes sense and fits in pretty well. The song is completely different from what I expected after seeing the lyrics. Pretty good so far but it needs more listening.

sounds good to me and the video is ok too. I tried to imagine how it would sound, wondering what Alice intended it to be : something to "sing along" or rather a kind of statement like Brutal Planet ( but obviously then nothing to become a single) but it turned out fine.

Songs OK and the video isn't nearly as bad as I feared when it looked like it would be a cavalcade of fan snaps.

I actually found something uplifting about seeing the band 'back together' for it.

Could have been truly embarrassing but credit where it's due. Miles better than the majority of the special music events getting inflicted on us at the moment, which is reminiscent of the endless special charity guff that followed the Band Aid single.
