there was a certain chemistry in the original Alice Cooper, Bob Erwin included that produced some great songs. the solo projects by former members make me appreciate more Alice’s talent for crafting lyrics and his singing abilities. As much as I loved the original group I find their solo projects hard to listen to. that said, I did like Glen in Virgen, he was just Glen doing what he does. Michael does not really have a unique sound in his voice or guitar style. i think he tries to be a front man when he really is not, and neither are the rest of them.Their biggest mistake was not finding a replacement for Alice, and underestimating the importance of Bob and Alice to their careeers.

Disagree. Bob and Shep took the focal point and a big chunk of the talent.

I loved the group but, whether right or wrong, everyone knew the singer as Alice. The whole thing would have died if Alice Cooper didn't have Alice in it.

They should have adopted Zappa's original suggestion and went by "Alice Cookies".

Just listened again. Something not quite right hearing a 72 year old main singing about a born screamer.
