The Making Of Easy Action

Post by pitkin88 » Sun Jan 19, 2020 9:10 pm

Has anyone read this in the Classic Rock magazine? I'm not fond of the album but I am interested to know about the making of. Hoping all four surviving members are interviewed.

Just DD as I remember as it was done when they showed Astroturf in London.
There's nothing particularly new in it, but makes a change to talk about a different album.

Thanks Si. Maybe I'll read it in Barnes and Nobel if they have it.

A mess of an album that doesn't have a direction nor a singer that sounds like Alice. The production is just horrible and everything sounds rushed. I hate the sound of Neals drums which sound like biscuit tins.

At least Pretties for all its faults was experimental. I doubt you could make a decent album out of the two.

It shows where they were headed if Ezrin never came on board. They would have been forgotten by 1971.

Agree, tho i do hate pretties for you even more than easy action, at least easy action has a couple of tunes i can listen to. i don't want to, but should they come on the stereo i don't actively jump to change it (like i would with pretties)

I know people have turned against bob Ezrin recently (tho no idea why) but without bob Ezrin we wouldn't have heard of him and definitely wouldn't be talking about it now.

Without Bob, I never would have heard either PFY or EA.

The Beatles were slogging it out in a German Rathskeller before BE & George Martin came along.
So, between Shep & Bob Ezrin,do we have a formula that flies in the same orbit? :alice:
I for one, think that Bob Ezrin for all of his detractors has managed to produce what are considered to be "Classic" Lp's from many artists. Lou Reed, ACG & AC, Kiss & Pink Floyd. Bob cannot be discounted at all in the continued career of The Master!

I think EA has some pleasant easily accessible tunes on it, more so than PFY and showed a good progression in the song writing. Hold onto your hats for what was coming next

I’m glad you posted this!! I bought a Classic Rock Magazine at Barnes and Noble last week. It has Jim Morrison on the cover and a big article on Alice Cooper from the early days so I’m assuming this may be the article... I’m glad you mentioned this because it made me realize what I tend to do...I see a magazine and buy it but I tend to save the articles I look forward to reading for last and then next thing I know a new magazine comes out and I do the same thing again! 3 months later I realize I never read the good articles so I’m going to read that Alice Article later today!!!!
