In case it's escaped anyone's attention, Alice is a contributor to two new documentaries on the above.

Suzi Q has been getting very limited cinema screenings and was on Sky Arts a couple of weeks back. Alice pops up quite a lot with his usual amiable recollections, though surprisingly his regular anecdote about phoning Suzi for beer in the early hours isn't one of them. I thought it was a decent enough biog, which tailed off the longer it went on.

Chuck Berry: The King of Rock'n''Roll is on Sky Arts this coming Saturday. Alice is credited prominently but so are host of other famous names, so he might not be in it as much as the Suzi one.

Thanks, for the "Heads Up!" - I knew of Suzi before she landed the role of "Leather Tuscadero" on "Happy Days" but, to get "Devil Gate Drive" (a classic akin to the Beach Boys or Jan & Dean) with Network exposure - should have given her the "push" she needed. :bam:
I'm glad AC gave her a nod on "Breadcrumbs"!

I was hoping to see Suzi supporting Alice on the WTMN tour in 75. As it turned out The Heavy Metal Kids did the UK support and they were great!

I met Chuck Berry many years ago. A total arrogant prick. One of the worst. BUT.....he is still one of my heroes. No Chuck Berry...No rock n roll.

He waa more important than Elvis and to me is the true King Of Rock n Roll.

That Chuck Berry documentary was, in my opinion, fairly all over the place and not too great. The interviews with the contributors were clearly taken over a period of years.

Alice was in it a few times and his usual entertaining self, but there's not much more to say for it other than that.
