Go Man Go and West SIde Story are great.

But WTH was he thinking covering Devil With the Blue Dress? I wish he would have given it a noir treatment instead of...whatever that was on record.

Could Your Momma Won't Like Me be added to Alice s cross dressing songs? Chinn and Chapman certainly didn't have it in mind for a guy!

I really like the new Breadcrumbs EP! I’m not too big on covers, but Alice delivers great versions of these songs. :8):

How about a full Chinn and Chapman covers album?? Think of the twists he could put into Little Willy, Tiger Feet or the classic Living next door to Alice..

I just read Suzi Quatro was approached about doing a duet with Alice on Your Momma Won't Like Me and then Ezrin nixed it!

With how great he sounds on the track, i dont think we needed any other singer on it. Would be nice to hear if it was recorded but Alice sounds phenomenal on that track. loved it.

The Breadcrumbs EP will be released in JAPAN on 28/11 on CD.
There is also a Russian bootlegversion on cd available.

I think this is a poor showing for those that wanted to buy the ep on CD in Europe or the US. Now if you want it you have to buy a costly import of an American recorded product. As usual I'm sure we will hear the Alice has nothing to do with these things excuse trotted out.

I have to say that Breadcrumbs did not grab me for the first couple of listens but it is growing on me now. Too many covers. It is a shame that Suzi Q did not duet as I think that would have been great. His other duets, for the most part, have been really good especially Baby Can't Drive. Well i like it anyway!

Maybe there also will be an European/USA release of the ep on cd but I haven't seen any news about it yet.

Or bonus tracks/disc with the next album.
I'm sure the tracks will be on a CD at some stage, or of course you can just burn your own and make a cover -
not quite the same as an official one though I know.

All I could find in the U.S. was a digital download & all I could find as far as vinyl was through Amazon & this site.
I found an Import from Germany for twice the download price (including shipping) & it took about a month.
Also, in the meantime my 20+ yr. old turntable decided its' time had come. :(
Setting up the new one now & will chime in once I've heard the EP.
P.S. The Vinyl Ep also states that it's a limited edition to 20,000 copies & mine is 01293 so does that mean that nearly 1300 copies have been sold?
Do any SickThings have a copy that's closer to 0001 or something greater than 1300?

Thanks,
I was just wondering if Edel Records "shuffled the deck" when releasing the EP.
Congrats on such a low #

24 is 'slightly' lower than my 13143 ! I'm wondering if different outlets were issued with ranges of numbers.

Just curious - where did you get yours? I am done ordering directly from EAR Music. They make me wait far too long for my orders, and then when it comes, I wind up with #6,119.

Wow, I was concerned that when my # was less than 1300 that the Ep wasn't selling well. I got mine from
HotShot Records in Germany & although it took a couple of weeks after it shipped (w/o any Tracking Info), it arrived 1 week before the their window of 3 weeks plus it showed up in good condition & well packaged. They may have pre-ordered many cases but, I would suppose that HotShot wouldn't have stuck their necks out for more than they thought could reasonably move, even though they ship Internationally.

Unless you have No 1 the numbers thing doesn't mean that much. I believe Ringo had the No 1 White album. Why is this being shipped from Germany isn't it a U.S. Release?

#1 or #20,000... I was just curious about how the numbers had been shipped & through SickThings I thought we could track them a bit. :8):
Ear Music is a project of Edel Records Germany. I looked at all of my on-line resources for a US distributor & most (if not all) had a listing that said "Unavailable" at the time of release so, I found a shipper on Amazon in Germany. iTunes had the download but I wanted the vinyl & since I missed the pre-order I went for it! My vinyl Ep of "The Sound Of A" is also a German Import that I purchased in the U.S.

I've just run through "Breadcrumbs" for the 1st time & I'm very impressed.
Like others have said, if this is pointing in the direction of his next release we may have something to NOT gripe about. :x Starts off rockin' for the 1st 2 tracks & only slows down a little for the Bob Seger cover but, a great choice also! :8): Side 2 has Suzi's cover (very good) & a definitive reworking of "Devil With A Blue Dress On". The jury is still out on "Chains of Love" but Sister Anne is a great closer. :alice:
If he can match his writing & rockin' at this level for his next release we won't have anything to complain about.****1/2

I don't entirely disagree about the numbers. However, the more that the stamper is used, the more opportunity for minor imperfections to appear. I have a few albums that are first-gen pressings, and the sound is nicer than later pressings.
Truly, my beef is the wait. EAR Music has made me wait weeks past the release date for the last three orders. It seems as if they wait to ship until the day of release, as opposed to having the customer receive the product on, or near, the release date. I know - wahh-wahh-wahh. Still, it's kind of maddening.
